Exum Contract Option

I think DFaves wants to be with Utah til he gets better offer and money from another team where he becomes a vital piece.
Losing both DFaves and Exum becomes troubling because Jazz send a message ...cheap salary and JUST making the playoffs is good enough to keep Jazz faithful happy "enough".
Exum is a special case as far as Utah is concerned ,if he's smart he signs a qualifying offer setting himself up for a big contract (2019)and teams bidding for him to be their starter at PG. Jazz think they have a gem in Exum and want to sign him on a "prove it" contract, so do they have to "overpay" him for next year(2 yrs)
to get him to sign a contract this summer.
My dream scenario is to get Exum PG ( 22 yrs old) to sign ,go after Mario Hezonja SF (23 yrs old ) in FA and make a trade for Marquiss Chriss PF (20 yrs old), all with tremendous athleticism and young legs ......knowing you have the best rim protector in the world behind you.
One thing I saw with Houston and Boston losing is they bombed away on 3 pters and shot themselves out of winning. You need athleticism to win and a rim protector .
Jazz core is Gobert ,Mitchell,Ingles ......secondary is Rubio and Favors ( but Favors finds another home)
This is a perfect time to sign Exum to a prominent role and add Hezonja and Chriss to the mix and there will be athletic players in all positions in front of Gobert , (25 yrs old). Shoot for the moon ,not with the highest pd players in the NBA . Ride the rim protection of Gobert and the scoring talents of Mitchell and attack with young athletic players because if you have seen the playoffs Boston and Philadelphia have athleticism to spare and filling your team with cost efficient players (Crowder,O'Neale} to your core ....you're going to get smoked and look slow . But thats the Jazz way (Snyder).

Marquis Chriss? Really? Hezonja, Chriss and Exum. Holly **** the NBA shakes in its boots. Your post is as dumb as Marquis Chriss.

Whenever I see a fanboy post on a message board about winning in NBA with some super athletic dumb loser punks just running the teams out of gyms, I know there's an idiot sitting behind a computer somewhere in the world posting that.

And that guy is trying to insult Snyder?! Holly *******.

Nothing new coming for him. I do not know if you read previous posts but he is convinced that if Exum was coached by Popovich he would be all star by now ...

Nobody here as ever said that ,but their are Exum haters that will tell lies about other posters posts.

But as far as Jazz are concerned ...Gobert is worth 50 win seasons ,not Snyder.Snyder hasn't proved he can win games without Gobert playing.
So adding uber athletic players like Exum ,Hezonja and Chriss with Gobert and Mitchell and Ingles .Their not going to cost lots and have nothing but upside .They'll be alot more exciting than the ground bound players {Crowder,Diaw ,Mack,Jerebko} that Snyder seems to like .

Crazy that a coach can't win without his get player that he built an identity around right?!

Lol, of course they will struggle without Gobert. They did win a playoff series without him last year. That was pretty impressive.

How many teams made the playoffs and won a series this year with 0 all stars on they team?

yeah but they wouldnt have if Blake Griffin didnt get hurt......luck of injury worked for the Jazz against the Clippers .But to ignore the fact Snyder is called a great coach but doesn't have a winning record without Gobert playing is a false impression. Anytime Gobert is hurt Jazz aren't a .500 team .

Spurs still won without Kawhi,Boston did without 1st Hayward ,then Kyrie ...equals GOOD coaching

Jazz had way way worse injury situation for that playoffs series. We had every starter hurt or out for that series at some point. So great point how impressive a coaching job that was. We were the underdogs and we're more injured and still won, wow.

Spurs and Boston do have good coaches and did well this season. Jazz had injuries as well and did better than the Spurs and just as well as Boston. Those teams were also worse without those players.

Jazz also lost 5 of their top 7 leading scorers from last year and still made the playoffs again. Hayward, Hill, Hood, JJ and Mack. That is crazy good coaching.

Jazz played very well the first time Gobert got hurt. The second time he got hurt we struggled. But that also coincided with the Jazz having the hardest schedule of any team for a month all season right then. The schedule got easier when Gobert came back.

You've only proven how good of a coach Snyder is.
