Why is everyone saying he hasn't done anything. Exum played very well when he got back from his injury this year and stats back that up. He has potential on top of that. He also played very very good defense against harden.
Yeah, his baseline right now is high level defender who can finish around the rim on drives. He really is just a jump shot away and that's worth investing in.Why is everyone saying he hasn't done anything. Just don't bet any real money on it.I'm making Exum MIP '19 my bold prediction for next season.
I wouldn't even compare those 2 contracts. Curry's injuries were fluke ankle injuries, Exum has had 2 blown out knees and a torn (?) shoulder. Completely different and more severe injuries than Curry.
I mean at least Brandon Roy and Oden (who were super injury prone) had some great seasons and stats to back it up. We can't ever say that about Exum
Purely a speculative JFC bragging capital investment.Just don't bet any real money on it.
Exum lasted 24 games before he pulled a hammy this year (including playoffs). The good thing is, Dennis is the GM and not Jazzfanz. If they don't think he can last, they'll let him walk. He's another knee injury away from being out of the league imo
Traditional stats yes he did. His stats were great in the time he was on the court. Per 100 he was our best assist guy and 2nd best scoring guy. What more do you want from a PG? I posted these already but ill post these again.Traditional stat-wise, no, he didn't. Nothing at least that screams "Give me 15 million dollars next season". His advanced stats were nice, but the sample size is very limited. That said, he did D up Harden nicely by being smart about it and he still does have potential. I don't think anyone is really adverse to keeping him on a few more years, but they should not spend any significant cash on him, otherwise, the Jazz are just bidding against themselves. I don't see a huge market for him otherwise at the moment, so a small year/cash deal give him more time to figure it out. That said, if he somehow gets over 10 per on the market, Jazz should just call it good and say "Peace out."
