Following Potential 2018 Draftees

Spurs really need a big man who isn't 38 years old. I bet they still like Bradley. And they would still get the 21st overall pick.

The Jazz clearly see potential there. I am not sure I want to lose that just to move up a few spots. However, I do see the logic behind it since Rudy is firmly entrenched at the 5.

Jazz trade Bradley and the 21st pick for 18 and White

Something along those lines.
I don’t think it’s worth it tbh. The Jazz clearly likes Bradley and clearly expected him to be a project moving forward. I wouldn’t consider trading him until after Udoh leaves and he has a chance to crack the regular season rotation. He’s so young and raw that it’s silly not to give him some time working with the Jazz exceptionally good player development staff.

I think its realistic, but if we see someone we like and are trading up there is a chance they like said player too. I think they need a guy like Okobo more than a guy like Bradley and bigs are much easier to find these days.

I'm all for 18 and White for 21 and Bradley, but I liked White more than Bradley last year. I am slightly worried Phoenix take Okobo.

It's probably unpopular, but I'd put Jae on the table if it got us the guy we want and expiring contracts. Like if we guranteed Udoh's deal and sent Udoh, Crowder, 21 for 15 and Gortat and got Okobo I'd be happy. Moving Crowder would unlock the ability to more freely use our MLE for someone this year without compromising our max cap space next year.

Washington needs warm bodies and giving a wing while cutting 3-4 M in salary next year is helpful. They are close enough to get out of the tax this year and avoid repeater tax. Gortat and Wall ain't buddies and that locker room needs help.

I think Crowder is Favors insurance. Don’t see it as very likely that he gets traded before at least seeing how he functions in a bigger role for a whole season.

I dont know if it's even possible to guarantee the non-guaranteed guys before July 1st.

Continued small tweaks, mostly adding more guys to the lower tiers to get to 30. Numbers after a player are what I see as a players realistic outcome ranges from low to high. 10 is an ATG, 5 is a solid bench/acceptable starter, 1 is a guy who probably shouldn't be in the NBA.

Tier 1:
1. Luka Doncic: 5 - 9
2. Jaren Jackson: 4 - 9

Tier 2:
3. Trae Young: 2 - 9
4. Wendell Carter: 3 - 8
5. Mikal Bridges: 4 - 7
6. Mohamed Bamba: 1 - 9

Tier 3:
7. Gary Clark: 3 - 7
8. Marvin Bagley: 3 - 7
9. DeAndre Ayton: 1 - 8
10. Michael Porter: 1 - 8
11. Landry Shamet: 2 - 7
12. Elie Okobo: 2 - 7

Tier 4:
13. Jacob Evans: 2 - 6
14. Jalen Brunson: 2 - 6
15. Vince Edwards: 2 - 6
16. Jevon Carter: 2 - 6
17. Lonnie Walker: 1 - 6
18. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: 1 - 6
19. Keita Bates-Diop: 1 - 6
20. Kevin Huerter: 1 - 6
21. Josh Okogie: 1 - 6
22. Zhaire Smith: 1 - 6
23. DeAnthony Melton: 1 - 6
24. Troy Brown: 1 - 6
25. Miles Bridges: 1 - 6
26. Collin Sexton: 1 - 6
27. Devon Hall: 2 - 5
28. Shake Milton: 2 - 5
29. Mo Wagner: 2 - 5
30. Devonte Graham: 2 - 5

#LockeWatch Locke discusses some of the players he's seen working out for the Jazz

https://www.lockedonjazz.net/jazz/d...own-of-10-best-players-in-utah-jazz-workouts/

-he likes Melvin Frazier... multiple actions defender, bona fide athlete
-Okobo - likes the name for playcalling purposes -OOOOOO-kobo! Scoring guard, question about distributing. "Perfectly impressive" - he can't see how Okobo won't be an NBA player
-Khyri Thomas - pure catch and shoot defensive 2.
-Aaron Holiday - "boy, is he small!"... and not elite athletically...
-Rawle Alkins - Compared him to PJ Tucker... might be valuable piece. Looks like a linebacker.
-Jalen Brunson - very crafty around the rim, just makes plays
-Mo Wagner - kinda like him, reminds him of Olynyk and he loved Olynyk... will be surprised if he doesn't play in the league.
-Anfernee Simons - quick, fast, smooth, 19, scorer... better know he's gonna work... very far away.
-Grayson Allen - elite athlete. he's old. Eric Gordon comparison?! (Ew, don't like that comp.)

No Troy Brown or Keita Bates-Diop? But Aaron Holliday is in the top 10?

Just a reminder that Gary Trent tested out to be bigger and slightly more athletic than Bradley Beal. He shot 3s better in college too.

Carry on.
