Some new game footage of Enes Kanter is circulating from his prep school days. I'm watching one game now. It's fairly underwhelming stuff.

I don't know if he's just tired here or what but he looks really lethargic playing vs very weak competition. Getting destroyed on defense.

Boozer 2.0?

Do not ignore this Kanter lovers. If we are going to praise his videos of him playing scrimmages with the Kentucky team, then this has to be valued.

No, I told you this is coming from the Draft Express guy. I'm sure the video will get leaked sometime though.

But for some reason you can ignore every video of Valanciunas? Just kidding, I'm sure he's got some redeeming qualities, but I guess I'm just unable to see them.

I think the Jazz should build their team concept around beating the sh** out of other teams inside (like the Lakers did). Kanter + Favors + Jefferson can bring the pain all game long. Throw in some Fess to add insult to injury. Kanter is a big, aggressive dude that will wear a team out. Size and depth in the front court could be a considerable advantage.

Then have players like Hayward, Jimmer or Hamilton hit open shots, and we're good.

Unless JV has Millsapian ability to grow (from a skills standpoint), then it's clear to me that Kanter will always be a ****-load better as an actual player (and not just a body with a motor).

If we're ogling bodies and motor, I'd rather have Biyombo than JV. I have to really try to see what the love is for JV and Biyombo is an out-and-out force everywhere and every time he plays.

Biyombo is more raw. He is obviously a better shot blocker, and a more powerful finisher. JV is a better rebounder, more polished on both sides of the ball, and a pretty good FT shooter (which would suggest he has the ability to develop a decent midrange game in the future).

I too think that Kanter is the better player, but my problem with him is that he could have improved his stock and aimed at the No.1 overall pick by taking part in the Nike Hoops Summit. If he is really that confident about his skills, he would have dominated the game again, and he would prove to all people who have doubts that he can still play even after such a looooong layoff. Yet he (or his agent) thinks he should play safe and keep the status of the top 5 pick, which makes me think he has things to hide.

He has more to lose by playing. We also don't know if it's his decision. Obviously we as fans hate that he's not really working out much, but from a business stand-point it is a solid decision. I wouldn't take much from him not working out to be honest.

New Lakers coach Mike Brown interviewed for the job by showing tapes of Tim Duncan & David Robinson "The Twin Towers". He plans to implement a similar style for Bynum and Gasol. (does that make Kobe= Sean Elliot?) Jazz had better plan for it. But if you're going to match up against them doesn't Jonas V. and his 7'-6" wingspan makes more sense than Kantersaurus Rex?

lol I really think that JV has some serious upside. I just hate his contract situation. If he was coming over next season, i'd lean more towards JV. Just so he can start learning some of big Al's post moves and develope team Chemistry a year or 2 sooner. If his contract situation doesn't get worked out and he will come to the NBA in 3 years. Kanter is the better pick, forsure. But either way Utah is going to draft Brandon Knight and trade with Toronto unless Toronto is a lock to take Walker for JV, then Utah will trade the 3rd pick to Washington for the 6th (Knight) and another asset.

Still go with Kanter slightly, but JV's contract situation is apparenlty on the cusp of being resolved. Should be able to come over next year.
