Well who would play the PG if they trade Kyrie?

They can do Brown and Hayward + picks, but if I'm the Spurs I'd rather have Tatum + picks. Brown just isn't a good as prospect as Tatum.

Spurs don’t just get to pick who they get in trades. Their guy is leaving. They need to take he best they get offered.

As for who would play pg, they didn’t have kyrie for a lot of last season and they did great with rozier at pg and with isiah Thomas the year before.

I don’t know... Buford/Popovich are stone cold killers. Ainge is a cutthroat, but I wouldn’t bet the farm on him vs. Pop. He is primarily adept at acquiring assets. What he has done with those assets hasn’t been exemplary, not on the level of What DL (for example) has accomplished with far fewer assets.

I’m betting SA gets plenty for Kawhi.

Agree. You can bet that Buford is gonna play the Lakers off of the Celtics... if the Lakers are offering Ingram, then he's gonna turn around and use that as leverage to get Tatum.

Buford's not gonna settle for Brown, or Hayward. Or a 1 year rental of Kyrie and having to go through this **** show again next year.

Duh. It doesn’t matter what the spurs would rather have the Celtics offer. The spurs just have to take the best offer they can get. And the Celtics can give them the best offer without including Tatum. But again, like I said to you before, the spurs don’t just get to pick and choose who they get. Kahwi is leaving. They have to take the best offer they can get. Boston can offer better and more assets than the lakers even without including Tatum. Nothing the lakers can offer get them to a championship in the west but the Celtics offer gets them closer. Even without Tatum.

By your logic, the spurs should just trade kahwi to the warriors for curry and Durant. But the spurs don’t decide what teams have to include in trades. Celtics don’t need to offer Tatum and they still can offer a better trade than the lakers.
