Business is business. You don't give millions away cause it's a nice thing to do. Especially since he was always hurt until he gets into a contract year. He's not a perfect fit next to Rudy. If he was a good shooter he'd be worth 15 mil.

I think the jazz have given millions away cause it’s the nice thing to do in the past. Jeremy Evans and Raul Neto come to mind.

I dont really like the idea of trying to low ball Favors either. He is an unrestricted frre agent right? If we try to go as low as what other teams can offer, that could backfire on many levels. The biggest being he could just say F U Ill take my 1 year somewhere else.

I hope LeBron stays in Cleveland and they add Carmelo for the minimum. With their expiring contracts (Korver, JR and Hill) they could probably swing some trades.

Agreed. I think we should offer him something fair. He has been loyal to us and chemistry does matter. And like someone else said, it could make us look good to future free agents and their agents.

I kind of feel bad for Favors. He has been a good guy and finally gets to be an unrestricted free agent. And nobody has money....

It would be wise for both us and him to just bring him back on a one year deal making more than the MLE. Its more money than he would have made elsewhere but lets him be a UFA next summer.
