If Mitchell is going on social media to try to convince Favors to stay, you know that Favors must be pretty conflicted. No other team sent a delegation to see him (according to reports), we sent the farm to meet with him, and he still hasn't said he's staying.

I think he leaves. He wants a bigger role and knows it won’t be in SLC.
Just my feeling.
Part of me kind of hopes to Favors leaves. It might help change the Jazz free agency strategy. This whole, "play it cool" for a few months and then fly to meet the player and spend a few hours trying to convince them to stay after free agency has already started and then crossing our fingers, doesn't seem to be working that well.
I also really like Favors, but am excited about the prospects of what could be done with that cap space next off season and maybe even this year or at the trade deadline. I've zeroed in Tobias Harris. I don't think he comes in Favors is on the team and under contract.
He's a starting PF here... where else can he get a starting gig and with a chance at the playoffs?
He’s wrong. That team without LeBron is flaming dog poop. They need to blow it up hard and fast. Before Cavs fans have adjusted to their new reality.David Griffin has been on NBAtv advocating it makes sense for them to compete next year, still having KLove and the overall weakness of the east.
I actually wouldn’t mind that deal. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him end up on the trade block mid-season. That should be the focus for the Jazz this year. Turn middling assets and expiring contracts into one, really solid consolidated player for a team that needs to cut cap space.I’ll pass on Aaron Gordon for 4/84.
@LoPo you act like just because DL calls a player it automatically means they have to sign with us.
Not sure what you mean by this. Favors was an unrestricted free agent the moment the season ended. The Jazz can't legally contact him or negotiate with him until free agency begins. What do you want them to do during those few months when they're playing it cool? This whole, "play it cool" for a few months and then fly to meet the player and spend a few hours trying to convince them to stay after free agency has already started...
