Donovan’s foot

I don't know why you guys are jumping on @oneye here. For as little information as we've gotten about his injury and as underplayed as it was after the end of the season it seems like it's still impacting him 3 months after the end of the season. I'm not saying we should panic or something but I think it's totally legitimate topic to raise.
Agreed.

Its because he is the "master of panic".

I don't know if I should or shouldn't be concerned... this isn't as silly as the "he didn't mention Utah" thread... but it's the chicken little thing.

Here is the deal... anyone who has dealt with kids knows if you do something cool or fun with them once, then they ask for it again and again and again. I have 3 daughters... if I give one a piggyback ride then you best believe I'm giving piggyback rides for the next 15 minutes. That's fine most of the time, but there are times when daddy isn't happy... so when they request a piggyback ride I respond with "my knee hurts today". That's kinda how I see this.

Thank you.

No, but I could understand telling him not to dunk as a precaution. The fact it was also wrapped in what looked like plastic and ice or something just a couple weeks ago could mean it’s a bit irritating still after workouts or something. It may just be them being extra precautious and making sure it truly gets to 100% whether it’s bothering him or not, and it appears it doesn’t really bother him.

I think they said it was a bruise in the webbing on the foot between his toes. His foot did get stepped on pretty bad in both series a couple times and he played through it. Nothing to worry about until October I guess.

Now you’re just getting ridiculous. Get over it. It’s a damn Internet forum.

Ice helps everything... I'm sure they are extra cautious... I don't think this thread is ridiculous. Foot problems are no joke, but I've decided with Donovan to ignore any potential gray clouds because I want to by a sunny SOB.

I was kidding... and merely explaining why people were jumping on you. It is because it is an internet forum that these jokes never die.

I just wish we knew exactly what his condition is. If we know that it may linger for awhile then I'll be prepared for it.

I thought it was 100% healed. I dont get the feeling anyone is too concerned about it, but it may become a lingering bigger issue.
A bruised toe

I'm only a tiny bit worried. But if preseason comes around and they say they're not playing him just as a precaution then I'll be worried.

It does invoke shadows of Derrick Favors and the Never-healing Leg.

Yeah, that makes sense. He has been doing so much media the past 1.5 months that it has kind of doubled as a rest period, but that comes with loss of conditioning. They probably just dont want him pushing himself too far trying to do highlight dunks. He's been out of the boot for at least a month, so I doubt there is some kind of serious lingering issue going on.
