Welcome to Colton's Mock Draft Compilation, v. 13.0. Here are who the mock drafts are listing as the "best players". See below for details. It should give a pretty good idea of who will be available when the Jazz pick.

Ranking details: I used the following mock drafts as "voters" for the best players. That is, I assumed they ranked the players in the order that they felt like the players deserved to be drafted. (This is an incorrect assumption, because some mock drafts account for perceived team need, but it should be close.) Then I used the "instant run-off voting" algorithm in a program I wrote to deduce who deserved to be ranked in the top spot, then in the second spot, then in the third spot, and so forth. See here for details on that algorithm: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Instant-runoff_voting

Changes from v 12.0: I dropped all mock drafts that hadn't been updated in the past two weeks. FIFTEEN of the TWENTY TWO I used this time had been updated since my last compilation.

Misc observations:

* 3 of the mocks now have Irving going at #2 or #3
* The gap between Knight and Kanter is pretty slim. 13 of the mocks have Knight picked before Kanter, but 9 of the mocks have Kanter picked before Knight.
* Bismack is ranked all over the place. Although he is ranked at #9 in my compilation, 7 of the mocks think he will still be on the board when the Jazz pick.
* The first 12 spots were unchanged from my previous compilation.
* Klay Thompson is the big winner this time, moving up from #17 to #12.
* Marshon Brooks and Nikola Vucevic continue to trend upwards.
* JaJuan Johnson breaks into the first round, skipping the "on the bubble" category altogether.
* Did something happen to Nikola Mirotic? The three mocks which had been updated most recently now no longer list him at all.
* Jimmer is the most common pick for the Jazz at #12: 8 of the mocks have the Jazz taking Jimmer.

* Did something happen to Nikola Mirotic? The three mocks which had been updated most recently now no longer list him at all.
My guess would be something that stems from him signing a contract that makes a buyout basically impossible to work until 2016. He's also not attending the Eurocamp. He might have even pulled out altogether.

In my dream world of the Jazz getting some later picks, he wouldn't be a bad guy to draft and stash.

Givony said earlier this week to expect Mirotic and Bertrans (sp?) to pull out of the draft by teh June 13th deadline.

I don't like that the euros have longer to decide than the NCaa players, but they are proffesionals so maybe its fair.

Thought you might like to see how the 99 mock drafts site sees the first 7 players being drafted. This is updated almost every day

Mock Draft
CAVS TWOLVES JAZZ CAVS RAPTORS WIZARDS KINGS
IRVING 96% - WILLIAMS 76%- KNIGHT 47%- KANTER 38%- VALANCUINAS 31% -VESELY 40% WALKER 25%

Basically 96% of the 99 mock drafts have the Cavs taking Irving at 1.
76% of the 99 mock drafts have the TWolves taking Williams at 2.
47% of the 99 mock drafts have the Jazz taking Knight at 3.
36% of the 99 mock drafts have the Cavs taking Kanter at 4.
31% of the 99 mock drafts have the Raptors taking Valancuinas at 5.
40% of the 99 mock drafts have the Wizards taking Vesely at 6.
25% of the 99 mock drafts have the Kings taking Walker at 7.
They took the biggest percentage of where the 99 mock drafts see a player taken. Comments?

Great Job Colton

Thanks Colton for keeping us up to date. Good info. Hope you don't mind me adding to your thread. Figured I would get hammered for starting a new thread.

LOL @ the Jimmer haters. Their predictions of Jimmer falling during the workouts are complete fail.
