Free Agent targets

The Jazz have no cap room to offer any contract except a mid-level exception. Richardson will probably have multiple offers from more championship built teams. Why would he want to play in Utah?

While true in the past. It is not necessarily true going forward. We have no idea if they will be able to sign anybody new.

I worked this out earlier, but if the new CBA has the cap around the same number, and Denver let's K-Mart go, they have PLENTY of money to sign everyone they need to sign. Forget about Denver's RFA's. They are staying in Denver.

Found it:

Denver's situation:

Under contract:
PG - Felton, Lawson
SG
SF - Gallinari
PF - Harrington
C - Anderson, Mosgov, Koof

Who they need to resign
Nene - his contract puts Denver at around 45 million. That gives them plenty of $$$ for Affalo and Chandler and they have a need for both players. I see NO scenario where they are interested in letting either one walk unless you completely overpaid one (ie 8+ million per year). Both are pipe dreams.

So they let Kenyon Martin and JR Smith walk? And they look pretty weak at the 4 I bet they might be willing to do a sign and trade for Millsap. Chandler for Millsap who says No; Jazz or Denver? It really helps both teams.

Denver will still have Gallenari with enough money to resign Smith/Affalo, while adding a starter at the 4

Utah get a Defensive sf that can knock down the 3 and makes it possible to add Kanter at 3 and Jimmer (hopefully at 12) Seriously this deal makes both teams better.

I definitely wouldn't hate that trade. Denver is in a good spot now, as we will be next year. They have cap room, and tradeable assets. Any team would love to have Affalo, Chandler, Lawson and/or Felton. The point was, if they want to keep Affalo and Chandler, they will do it, and they will definitely match our offer if for nothing else, to try to get a big from us.

That being said, I strongly consider Millsap for Chandler. Wow, that would be awesome.

Green, I think so to. Then draft Kanter and hope Jimmer falls to 12, add in G.S. hopefully lotto pick next year and thats a pretty quick way to build back into contention. Maybe keep Ak if he really offers a discount 5-6 million for 3 or 4 years. He would be perfect off the bench for 20 minutes a game, and I'd also resign Fez 1.5 mil a year for 2 or 3 years. (it's always nice to have an extra 7ftr sitting on the bench incase of injury)

Harris, Jimmer
Hayward, Miles
Chandler, Ak
Favors, Kanter
Jefferson, Fez

That team has the size, the D, the O, the right amount of vets and youth to really build into a contender pretty quick.

Wow a good trade proposal!

Millsap for Chandler is a perfect trade.

Harris - Jimmer - Watson
Hayward - Bell(wish we could trade him)
Chandler - Miles - Evans
Favors - Kanter
Jefferson - Kanter - Okur - Fesenko

Love it! Chandler would be our defensive stopper also. He would guard the 2 and 3 better than Hayward depending on match ups.

Sign me up. I would even throw in Miles if they really wanted him.

The only reason I would be OK with KOC drafting both Kanter and Biyombo is if they are somehow able to procreate and the Jazz become the first franchise to sign an unborn fetus to a contract.

Imagine the dissapointment when the newborn baby turn out to be a gigantice, enormous - girl....
