Welcome to Colton's Mock Draft Compilation, v. 14.0. Here are who the mock drafts are listing as the "best players". See below for details. It should give a pretty good idea of who will be available when the Jazz pick.

Ranking details: I used the following mock drafts as "voters" for the best players. That is, I assumed they ranked the players in the order that they felt like the players deserved to be drafted. (This is an incorrect assumption, because some mock drafts account for perceived team need, but it should be close.) Then I used the "instant run-off voting" algorithm in a program I wrote to deduce who deserved to be ranked in the top spot, then in the second spot, then in the third spot, and so forth. See here for details on that algorithm: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Instant-runoff_voting

Changes from v 13.0: I am still only using mock drafts that have been updated in the past two weeks. THIRTEEN of the TWENTY FOUR I used this time have been updated since my last compilation.

Misc observations:

* All but one of the mocks have Irving going at #1
* The gap between Knight and Kanter has widened again. Only 6 of the mocks have us picking Kanter at #3.
* Bismack continues to be ranked all over the place, ranging from pick #7 to #20.
* Other players who are all over the place:
- Walker, ranging from pick #4 to #17.
- Marcus Morris, ranging from pick #7 to #20
- Tristan Thompson, ranging from pick #5 to not in first round
- Klay Thompson, ranging from pick #11 to not in first round
- Jimmer, ranging from pick #7 to #19
- basically everyone after Jimmer
* Jimmer continues to be the most popular choice for the Jazz at #12, with 7 of the mocks having him go there

Also,

* Reasonable chance of being available at #12 are...
- Bismack, 11 mocks
- Marcus Morris, 10 mocks
- Tristan Thompson, 18 mocks
- everyone ranked below Tristan, 17-24 mocks

I think those with such a wide range (Bimbo) are the obvious projects. I would prefer we steer clear of them.

I'll say it again...

WalterFootball and TheSportsBank are the exact same mock drafts. Read the descriptions, they are word for word the same.

Either they are both run by the same person, or one copies the other.

Either way, you should only include one of the two sites in your compilation.

Too lazy .. How would that change things?

Sorry, I must have forgotten that you said that before. I'll take one of them off next time.
