Shocker!... I'm not married.
Shocker!... I'm not married.
So tell me where those 1 in 4 stats come from and how do you know they are reliable. You have a source? I would say that maybe there are 1 in 4 women who are attractive enough to excite desire in men but not all men are going to harass them. Unless maybe you are a mentally-ill person like Cosby or Jerry Sandusky, and the latter didn't like women.I mean, if one in four women are being harassed or worse, that's a problem with society at large. It's too bad that good people of society get lumped into the group. And a woman who has absolutely nothing to fear might feel weird if me and her were walking towards each other on an empty street at night. But that's how it is. And why it's important that we try to change things. And when a women speaks out don't immediately bring the burden of proof down on them. Do you know how hard it is to prove something like that?
Is Kavanaugh guilty? We can't know with 100% certainty. Do I trust the women, and other people who have spoken out against him enough that I don't want the dude to be a supreme court justice? Absolutely.
When did I say most claims are false -- I said most claims don't have evidence -- you're putting words in my mouth. That article doesn't make a case anywhere that most claims are true, either. Furthermore, while I didn't support Kavanaugh, I don't believe Ford. I think this was an engineered ploy to prevent his nomination, which on the other hand, I opposed. Then don't say dumb ******** like "most claims are false."

Holy ****, go **** yourself dude.I would say that maybe there are 1 in 4 women who are attractive enough to excite desire in men but not all men are going to harass them.
This is irrelevant to the discussion. It's more about what Keillor actually did and whether it was just in firing him. I would grant that there is one legit accusation but I believe the others are questionable, and using stats that are not specific to the case as facts against him, is disingenuous and don't prove anything and only whip up emotion against him.Lol, the dude is talking about English common law like he understands his things work.
It is literally because of the current social contract that we have at will employment. Keillor can leave a job any time, and be fired any time. This isn't a ****ing courtroom.
We aren't treating this differently. In the past, we did, but now the pendulum has swing in the opposite direction. Many people who are accused by the MeToo movement are assumed to be guilty without recourse to defend themselves.People do get falsely accused.
That happens with every type of thing, not just this. People get falsely accused of theft by eye witness at a similar rate to falsely accused of sexual assault. But we generally believe the eye witness if theft and people are convicted based on that eye witness all the time. But for some reason we test this differently.
No one needs to be worried about being falsely accused of sexual assault that doesn't do it. The number of times that happens is very small and very rare and usually the truth comes out eventually.
In the other hand millions of women are being sexually assaulted and most of those men are getting away with it and the women are getting no justice. It's a huge huge problem.
It's time to start believing women. History and evidence is on their side in regards to this as a whole.
I would rather one guy get falsely accused and lose a job. Which isn't that big of a deal. If that makes millions of women stop getting assaulted.
Great post.People do get falsely accused.

Women aren't harassed just because of their looks. You really need to do some research on this subject. You are very uneducated on this.So tell me where those 1 in 4 stats come from and how do you know they are reliable. You have a source? Who are you to say ... you have something intelligent to say? Listen, I've said my piece and I'll let the rest of you to hash it out but don't attack me. This is my opinion and I think I have defended it to the best of my ability. If you want to disagree that's your prerogative and right in a democratic society, and my right to give my opinion. I am not a hater of women; I'm a hater of untruth and injustice.Quit ****ing talking

You also have a horrible opinion. And you have proven yourself to be a drama queen in the past, as well as harassing other members of the board in their real lives.Who are you to say ... you have something intelligent to say? You're smart enough to understand, I think, if you are a man. If you're one of the other 3/4 of the opposite sex who are not so physically attractive, you are probably insulted but I'm only speaking my opinion. Sexiness and beauty is in the eye of the beholder; none of us are attracted to nearly every other person of the opposite sex ...Lol what the **** is this
No it had not swing the other way. It's not even close. We are treating it different. We aren't treating this differently. In the past, we did, but now the pendulum has swing in the opposite direction. Many people who are accused by the MeToo movement are assumed to be guilty without recourse to defend themselves.
If you want to spout horrible opinions in a public forum then you will be called out for it. That's the game.Who are you to say ... you have something intelligent to say?
