What's new

Video Game Thread

I think de-bugging is why this is taking so long to come out, been waiting for this game for ages.

Yeah, me too. They aren't in E3 to focus on working on the game. Just hope it's as good as Warband was.

One of the things with Kingdom Come was that they ran out of money so they had to rush the game. It could still get better with patches. But damn those dialogues need an overhaul.

CP 2077 looks so good. I loved the Witcher 3, so I have high hopes.

Between this game and RDR2, I'll be happy with the wait for great games for this year.

I've been playing Fallout 4 a lot on PC and I'm a level 25. I was a level 30 on XBox when it first came out, but my roommate's kid saved a game over my file and I never finished it. I'm glad I started it over, I plan on putting hundreds of hours into it. Fallout 76 looks promising too. I think Fallout Miami is FO4's last DLC. That looks great too.

I'm on a business trip right now and may get Strange Brigade when I get home. Bio Mutant looks ok too.

Yeah, I bought it. It's okay... I got bored of it quicker than I thought I might... probably because the core shooting mechanic just really isn't all that strong when you get right down to it.

But if you want to play a REALLY good game:

That's a download link for X-Com: UFO Defense. It's a really old PC game, and also saw release on the PS1 (launch title, I think). Anyway, the whole download is only 8.5 megs, and 20 megs when you install it. But old as it is, it's one of the best games I've ever played, period.

But don't take my word for it. IGN ranked it as the #1 PC game of all time:

AP used to make the best video game posts imo.

I figured out with Splatoon the original is where its at. The Wii u gamepad makes the difference, the mini games between matches are more than a novelty and having a map in your hand during gameplay can't be replicated on any other system. Still 24/7 online multi player being supported thought it's mostly japanese folks. Plus it has gear abilities they removed in Splatoon 2. Nobody makes games like Nintendo. Hate on them all you want but games that can bring people together young & old, experienced & novices, quick simple yet somehow complex enough to engulf hardcore gamers? Example: Mario Kart

Also enjoying both Street Fighters they brought to the Switch. I would been a legend in my neighborhood if I had access to all these arcade versions of Street Fighter when I was kid.

I've become tired of posting in so many polarized and political threads so I'm going to bump something that's way better.

Red Dead 2 this week, fellows.

IDK, I never played the original, but I watched people play it. The Grand Theft Auto games were just never fun to me outside of like 30 minute rampages where you just try to get as many stars as possible so helicopters chase you. The mission based stuff was always boring to me.

This new Magic the Gathering The Arena game is actually quite excellent, nice and fast paced. sure it's a money grab as all there stuff is, but not if youre careful. The engine is great though. been waiting for something like this since this very old PC game thats gotta be 20 years old....

I'm old school. I don't know **** about planeswalkers, I was able to just crush thru the competitive ranks Bronze and Silver into gold using one of the standard decks you get right away, didn't have to buy ****.

Still playing Rocket League. I'm Diamond 2. There are so many good games I want to play but Rocket League is my life now.

Lmao outside of the 2037 draft thread.

Started playing Binding of Isaac again. There's a new DLC coming for it this December. I might pick up Borderlands next week and I'll for sure get Outer Worlds next month.

Cyberpunk looks pretty legit. I bought the Witcher 3 on PC to give it another play through, but it's not as fun as it was the first time. I wish RDR2 would come to PC already. Wtf, it's been a year almost.
