"Hopefully I can come to Utah" -Kemba Walker, must see video.

This is ANOTHER reason the Jazz need to get Jimmer. When you can get a player that is playing this well against competition in the pre-draft workouts, has a great character like Jimmer, is CLUTCH, isn't afraid to shoot the ball, a good teammate AND has a strong desire to play in Utah, we need to somehow get him on this roster.

We won't have a Boozer, DWill situation with Jimmer.

We should trade for Marvin Williams and Yi and then draft Kantor and Jimmer. Chairs everywhere would quake in their scratch resistant pads!

Since when has Jimmer been clutch? Did you see the Florida game? I think Jimmer fans can take solace in the fact that even LeBron and DWade made foolish mistakes in the finals (traveling, double dribble, etc.)

I guess it depends on what you mean by clutch. Jimmer did perform well in a lot of big games, but BYU had very few games that were close in the final minute. Jimmer never made a buzzer beater or had to deal with the stress of managing a close game in the final minutes.

But you do make a good point about Jimmer being happy here in Utah.

I think you're reading way too much into how Kemba was saying "hopefully I can come to Utah"....The way I read/saw it was as "of course I'm going to say that about every team I workout for as a draft hopeful, stupid". More so than him not wanting to play in Utah.

Fair point.

Honestly, why in the world would any of these guys want Minnesota, Cleveland, or Toronto over Utah? These guys will be making millions and traveling all over the country half the time anyways. If winning is what these guys want, they should want Utah over these other lottery teams every day of the week.

Why would anyone wanting to climb the drafting boards say anything that might hurt his chances of being drafted?

Look folks, unless this is Lebron James, and can be a jackass to everyone and basically manipulate everyone where he wants to go, EVERYONE will be saying the right things, at the right time, to get drafted as early as possible.

Does Kemba really want to be here? I don't know.

But I do know that Kemba really wants to be drafted.

Hopefully I can come to Utah.....Translation:

hopefully I can be the 3rd pick and have a guaranteed contract worth at least 10 million.

Of course! He said "I hope I can come to Utah". That clearly shows lack of character. People with good character do not "hope", they just DO. Also "come to Utah"? Is that a threat? That shows he is a dangerous person, and must not be trusted. I am glad you brought this to our attention.

That's how it seemed to me, as well.

Also, big whoop if he's a little reluctant. Frankly back when I graduated from college in 1994, I had no great desire to ever live in Utah again. And yet I've been here for the past 4 years and for the most part I'm enjoying it.

Or if they take me 3rd I am cool with that. I'm not worried about them getting me at 12. No way I last that long.

Talk about "nobody likes me" syndrome. Kemba was extremely courteous, and when he said "hopefully I can come to Utah" the only vibe he was giving off with his facial expressions / tone was "that's all I can really say about that."

I think he should have said, "I just want to have fun." Worked for Boozer every time.
