How do we fix this team?

I feel like I'm usually a positive fan. Even when the team goes through struggles I try to remain positive and look at the bright side. But right now I am extremely frustrated. What happened to this team? This is damn near the exact same roster that scratched and clawed and fought every night last year win or lose. This year it feels like they are rolling over and it's annoying the s*** out of me. Where's the fight? Where's the fire? Where is the defense?

I just want to know. How do we fix this?

-Get shooters and scorers.

That's it.

Our memories are selective, this roster has been deeply flawed since Hayward and Hill walked (and they weren't perfect, but they were plus players on both sides of the ball, were unselfish, and hit their shots). It's great Ricky and Donovan played out of their minds last year, but without that, the 19-28 team is closer to the reality of the situation.

Terry Rozier. He is a player with an edge, good D, and can catch fire. You replace Rubio with Rozier, and teams actually might fear our starter offense.

JJ Reddick would be perfect on this team. Deadeye shooter and hustles the entire time on the court. NUMBERICA said it correctly, we need shooters.

Jazz need:

a) a point guard who can shoot and score at the rim, as well as survey the floor and pass the ball,

b) a PF who can handle the ball and make a play with the pass as well as play 3&D.

We hope for regression to the mean.

We can’t shoot this bad. Opponents can’t shoot this well with the shots we are forcing them into.

If neither thing changes then it’s just one horribly unfortunate season and you can blame me because every time I get excited about one of my sports teams some ******** happens. This would be the ultimate example.

They just need an efficient player who can handle semi-high usage (like 22-25 range).

Having one more role player who could shoot would be nice too.

1. Tell mitchell to stop chucking, take no more than 20 shots a game. In other word, be a less selfish player.
2. get rid of rubio, neto,
3. Make Dante the starting Pg, plays him 30 minutes a game.
4. Get another superstar via the trade.

Put Rubio at the end of the bench and let Mitchell play the point. Find out who on the roster plays better at the 2 with Mitchell at the 1. Make Favors strictly a back-up 5 and replace him in the starting line-up either with Crowder or perhaps Sefolosha -- letting, in this case, Crowder lead the bench unit. Rubio regressed to trully an all-time terrible shooter and lost a step defensively. If Sefolosha can't offer anything anymore, play really small, with Gobert at the 5, Mitchell at the 1 and 3 "wings". Also, it would be helpful to find out if Neto can offer anything at back-up PG.

But part of that is a serious shakeup in the main units. We can still only play five at a time, obviously, so it's not just about acquiring guys, it's about what the guys on the floor can AND CAN'T do that dictate how all of this works.

Neither Rubio or Favors provide anything the Jazz are missing right now. Elaborate offenses are great at masking deficiencies of skill, but only if the shots go in. I'm fine with an entire offense of Gobert-whoever PnRs, attacking mismatches, and Mitchell rushing the rim with kick-out options. That's basically all Houston did last year (+ a very good defense).

Yeah, at the very least we should be able to address anything come FA time, if it doesn't cost too much though I'd like to grab somebody and see how they fit this season yet.
Brooklyn is going to have a lot of money left, so they could retain him if he likes it there. I wonder if they, or anyone else, would be willing to max him.

You forgot:

5. Sign Luc Longley and play him all minutes behind Gobert (and sometimes in front of him).
6. Fire Kristen Kenney and replace her with Natalie Imbruglia.
7. Let Keith Urban shoot the three ball.

8. make kylie minogue the new jazz coach, she has a higher IQ than Quin

Stop chucking, including so many freaking 3’s when they ain’t falling.

Feel the fire on defense.

Make the stupid free throws.
