What's new

This season is going to be full of surprises

I think the team we are seeing now will be much different by the season's end. It is becoming very obvious that this team will not survive the changes that have occurred to the game in the NBA and that the Jazz will be making some big changes. The only players who I think are untouchable are Rudy, Ingles, and Donovan.

i think next season we will clear a lot of salary.

rubio off the books
favors off the books
thabo off the books
neto off the books
burks off the books

who else am i missing?

I got hammered last year when I suggested Ricky was not the answer, but he did turn it around. Is he going to be able to do this again. It's becoming more apparent that Dante is not the answer either. And yes, I agree with the others Yamers has referenced.

ehhh ricky shot like 23% today.

All of these athletes off the books but who is gonna sign onto a team that is underachieving dramatically in a stereotyoical city? While the season is still at stake we better make a reasonable change.

The Jazz has better hope they have a Mirotic-esque situation arise but not ****ing botch it this time.

Except Dennis will...again. The man has been squirreling away money every year since he's been here, with the exception of his last gasp effort to keep Hayward when he had JJ fall in his lap (remember, JJ's agent called Utah) and he made that scintillating trade for Fat Boris. Every year, he's stressed financial flexibility so the Jazz could be players in free agency. And every year he acts shocked that free agents are so expensive. So he goes value shopping at the 99cent store. The guy is a serial liar with flawed analytical skills. He got laughed out of the building with that balance test crap. He's run up the T&E tab by bringing in damn near 100 players/year and has yet to find a true gem. Only middling success with Royce. And poaching off the Clippers; he sure as hell didn't "discover" Ingles. Hell, give me KOC any day. He went out and got a couple of quality FA's in Boozer and Okur. I guess they're about even in Mitchell vs. Deron. Williams was also a bonafide star before injuries derailed his career.

Any one of us could draft as well as Dennis has just by taking the best player on the board according to ESPN. He's a ****** GM robbing the Jazz blind. Someone should go into his office during working hours. I'll bet he's either frequenting porn sites or playing solitaire.

What you're missing is these are all quality players and Utah has no bad contracts.
It's not easy to bring talent to UTA so losing assets for nothing is not wise.

People who like money. Good thing it turns out nearly everyone likes money.

The surprise will be for the rest of the league once our shots start falling. We won't continue to shoot like a third grade team. It's like our team has the flu and the symptoms are missed layups, FT's and 3 pointers. We'll heal eventually.

Oh how I hope this is the case. Right now it feels more like a terminal aggressive cancer.

I don't want to lose but I also don't want Rubio to "get hot" enough to win maybe one playoff series. Then we overpay to keep him and do this whole dance again.

Rubio has never had one great season in his life. He has had parts, but not a whole. If he is our starter next year, what a massive disappointment that would be.

Last year after going 3-8 in our previous 11 games we started a win streak on November 21. We won 6 games in a row with Favors stepping up huge.

Probably shouldn't mention what happened the rest of December after that streak... :(

lets be real here. DL's hands were a bit tied on the FA situation last season and I think he is thinking ahead into 2019. If he makes changes then people would say he shouldn't have tinkered with what worked last year, and now we are saying he didn't make changes. Also it was DL that made the move for Mitchell, he just did some poor moves as well, but over-all he has been a net positive. I still wish he didn't wiff so hard on trey burke. He could have had the greek freak...holly cow we'd be in business then.

Also people saying this is snyder's fault are a bit delusional. Let me first and foremost say the jazz played well last season but ultimately we had a lot of luck on our sides, key injuries to denvers team, spurs, and then the pelicans lost cousins, and don't forget the wolves lost Jimmy Butler down the stretch, and DON'T FORGET THE GRIZZ with no conley last season. I knew we would come back down to earth this season, a lot of people were hyped up about being 2 seed, but I knew this wasn't going to be that season.

I mean our PGs give us NOTHING and our centers have literally 0 inside game.
