Russell only shoots 2.5% better on "wide open" 3's, and he takes .3 less of those shots per game than Rubio.

Russell isnt a great shooter, and he takes bad shots. He's having the best month of his career and Rubio is still outplaying him. There's a reason the dude is getting benched in close games.

Trust me, I watch a lot of Nets games. The guy doesnt impact the game nearly as much as Rubio on either end.

Like I said earlier today, I don't think we have to get rid of Rubio to get Russell.

As someone who watched Spencer in college first hand, not along side other tv's but in person he never dominated. It was a surprise when he declared for the draft and has really stepped up his game in nba. Dominated though? NEever. This a prime example of why you need to watch whole games and not piece here or there and video highlights. Russell he dominated at OSU in his one year.

That other poster was talking about college from what I could gather. If that's the case then what dinwiddie did last night wouldn't be relevant to what he was talking about since that wasn't a dominating collegiate performance.

Why is that? We can start Rubio now and groom Russell. If Exum becomes a SG/SF, we could use Russell now and later.

If Rubio is the answer for DL I would expect he engages in an extension talk now... Rubio's cap hold is prohibitive to our FA ambitions. I don't have any clue what Rubio will get but if we are in each other's plans long term something starting around 10M would give us another 8-9M in space.

I've wanted off the Rubio Roller Coaster for a while, but it has been fun lately. A value deal on Ricky may be a better option than some of the crappy deals we propose.

I would keep Rubio at less than $10 million on a declining deal. If he gives us some 4 year $35 million deal making $10, $9, $8, $8 team option, I would be happy with that.

I just don't want to have to start him. And if we keep Rubio, we gotta upgrade Favors.

DL's offer now would be less than he offered this off season, so I don't see anything getting done. Rubio would not accept 10m a year, which is less than Exum, no way in hell.

I don’t see an obvious team that would go much higher... certainly not a good team... maybe Phoenix... how much would you give up if you are Rubio to stay here and avoid Phoenix. What Exum got does not matter... Ricky knows he was paid on potential once too. It could start at 10 and be like 4/46... is he getting 4/60 from Phoenix or Orlando? Maybe... but I’ll bet they are looking at other options.

The cap hold isn't really that prohibitive, Jazz can do their due diligence and if they think there's a better fit that they can get at PG than Rubio then they just waive his cap hold and sign the FA, otherwise they keep the cap hold and extend Rubio if they wish.
