Jazz 76ers Game THREAD

7 minutes of commercials, then 45 seconds of game time, another 7 minutes of commercials. Man I love these national be TV games. Am I really staying awake for this garbage game just to watch crappy commercials?

Ya he tried to force it during that stretch. Hard to hate though considering the night he's having
 
The blowouts begin and end with defense. The problem is when our shots aren't falling we lose focus on defense. When they are falling we lock in. Engaged d we blow then out. Soft d we get blown out. I have no idea how to change it, other than hit shots, and we obviously can't do that consistently.

Crappy commercials are better than a 20+ pt blowout

I don’t see it as losing focus as much as we give up easier baskets to our opponents. Us missing shots gives the opponents fast break opportunities. One way to counter this would be to slow the tempo down and either post up or get to the free throw line.

What we do instead is we try and play faster and shoot more 3s which leads to more fastbreak opportunities which create these blowouts.

I mean, to be fair, there are worse box scores to complain about than Donovan’s 21 pts on 50% shooting...

Why isn’t he playing ahead of Royce?

And why is Rubio continuing to get so much burn? After what I saw in those first few mins From Exum, I wouldn’t have played Rubio for the rest of the first half. And I definitely wouldn’t have waited until 3:45 in the third once the game was out of reach to put Exum back in.

Snyder’s rotations tonight killed us.

Like what? 3-8 from the 3 point line and zero attempted free throws is inexcusable. Seriously, what is a worse stat than that? How can our best offensive player and athletic freak not even get to the free throw line?

That’s a good question for him and for the refs tbh. He gets plenty of contact-no-calls every game. Not sure what else he should do without getting even more reckless than he already gets.

Also, 3/8 3pt shooting is 38% and plenty good enough (his 3s have since declined to 3/10 on desperation shots now tho)
 
Dec. 27 last year, the Jazz was 15-20, this year, we are better. This is the only positive thing I can think of!
