What's new

Game Thread: Jazz at Raptors, any minute now

He just had a career year last year. Is he really "he is who he is"? I'm not saying he can get drastically better, but he just got better last year.
And he's followed it up this year by being...less than great. He's nearly thirty and he's been playing basketball professionally for almost fifteen years, yeah, basically he is who he is.

My point is that by now I think we all have a pretty good idea of who Ricky Rubio the basketball player is, Donovan still has tons and tons of potential for improvement.

Why wasn't Korver in the line up after that time out? This is the kind of thing that makes me go 'hmm what?' in regards to quin, so rigid to change according to the game situation.

Yet the play was for a dude shooting 7 of 22.
Exactly what all of us were thinking. Ingles hasnt made a shot and we're sitting korver????

A night of career highs for the raptors. I can't help but to think we are just missing a few more pieces to get to that next level.

We are missing shooting. Korver is a great shooter but doesn't play enough. Ingles is a great shooter but is only shooting 38% from three.

That's it. That's all we got.

We don't really have anyone on the entire team that is good at getting to the rim and finishing.

Without those two things offense will suck

Ingles was playing some hard, tough defense all night. And he still offers great playmaking. Refs screwed him though

And talk on your behalf. Not 'all of us' were thinking that

The fact the Jazz were this close on Kawhi's career night is impressive.

We just watched Leonard put up a MJ night. Dude was hitting ridiculous shots all night and the refs started giving him touch fouls in the 2nd half.

Jazz sagging off Siakim bit them in the *** in the 3rd.

Ingles/Mitchell/Rubio all missed open 3's.

Exum had some good plays, but he also missed a ton of layups he should make with soft defense, a couple that led to transition buckets.

Definitely not butt hurt over this loss though. There was some rough reffing, and Kawhi was absolutely unstoppable and we were still right in it at the end.

If you’re looking for a silver-lining, then there’s an obvious one: we hung in this game (against a title contender) despite shooting like *******. Many times this season, this has been a blowout loss.

I think if we take a step back, you don't want to be extremely harsh tonight even though some of us were. We got dismantled by a superstar, it happens. Yes bad shooting all around but this is the story of the season.

I like some of the grit and passion to win that some showed tonight and again, I will single out Jae and Derrick. Onto the next one.

Some people only see missed shots then freak out.

Ingles had to guard the 2nd or 3rd best player in the NBA all game. He just didnt have the energy on offense. It sucks, but it is what it is. Can't really blame him.

And for the record, Dante should have absolutely nailed at least 1 or 2 more of his lay up attempts. Definitely needs to do better.
