Nice big wing defender who has to be respected from deep.

Unhappy with his role, bad fit on his current team, tons of talent. All time low trade value (still a hefty price I’m sure).

What would it take? Are you interested? What do the Celtics want?

This is a pipe dream. He is an IDEAL fit next to DM. Young, explosive, good defender, good shooter. It would take Exum, Favors and a 1st rounder.
 
I'm a huge fan. That would be a dream come true pickup for me.
I would rather have him than Aaron Gordon, Otto Porter, Harris, mirotic, or just about anyone else that has been discussed other than maybe Beal.

I would give up that package in a heartbeat

Makes sense for Boston too. I think favors would look great with the Celtics and it would clear up their logjam at the wings while also giving them a draft pick (which they love) and a potential player.

Really not a bad offer, Favors doesn't demand the ball but gives them an inside presence that they really need. Exum only knows how to drive to the hoop, which they don't do enough of.

Unfortunately, I think Brown will be some asset in a massive trade and they won't want to deal him separately. Worth a call though. Though they would need a big *** salary filler contract for this to work.
 
You have to match the salaries + they've already stated they want more picks then players

Can the jazz trade future picks?
Favors contact is like what, 17 million? X is around 9?
How much does jaylen make? More than 26 million? If so maybe thabo or neto could make the difference?

I mean it's a long shot just like all other trade ideas involving a really good player but it seems doable from a salary and picks perspective. (The talent level of the players we offer probably kills it though)

Don’t forget you’d have to deal with Aing. I think he’d try to make the jazz pay out of their asses. He only worth D-faves or Exum and a couple seconds. Knowing Aing, he’d ask for both Exum and a first, and make us take back a crap contract whoever that is.

I'd give that up in a heartbeat. And if hypothetically we could send all that salary for just Brown, then we just need to go sign Niko and Brogdon and we're contenders.

He's on a rookie deal.

Also, he's shooting under 30% from deep on 3.7 attempts.

I think he means the challenge is matching it the other way. Jaylen only makes about $5M this year.

Lol. They’d have to add filler, oh and though I like Brown... drafted him in the jazzfanz current draft, he’s not worth all that.

I don’t know if he’s happy or not, but Smart starts over Brown, I’m sure he’d rather start even though he pretty much gets started minutes. So if he continues to come off the bench, I’m sure at some point there’d be rumblings if not already

Brown is getting 5 mill a year. You CAN NOT offer Favors + Exum + 1st for Brown without taking back more. You can't offer Exum + Picks, you can't offer Favors + picks. You could offer Thabo + picks but they won't do that
 
I really doubt his trade value is at an all-time low. Someone traded for Trey Lyles w/ a lottery pick after he played an entire terrible year and never really showed that much potential. Brown has played well enough through his first 2 seasons that a slow start to his 3rd won't hurt his trade value.
 
Jaylen Brown has been my primary 2021 target for a while. He does fit perfectly and he is on the outside of that Boston rotation. I don't think he carries that much trade value for an AD trade. If Boston rivals LA for AD, its going to come down to Tatum and picks vs Kuzma, Ingram and/or Lonzo.

What we do know right now is that Boston loves Vucevic from Orlando. He fits them perfectly now and would still fit perfectly if they find a way to get AD.

Boston gets Vucevic, Utah 2020 1st, future protected 1st from Orlando

Magic get Favors, Rozier, and Yasubele

Jazz get Jaylen Brown and Mozgov

Why for Boston - Vucevic makes them a contender, and the 1st rounders are something Ainge craves for that AD trade.

Why for Magic - they'd see Favors as a decent replacement for Vucevic plus they get their PG in Rozier. Brown isnt a requirement for them in this trade because they already have Gordon, Isaac and Fournier. Dumping Mozgov would excite their relatively new front office.

Why for Utah - Brown seems to fit perfectly. We don't want Mozgov, but getting Brown and having to take Mozgov is the price of doing the business.
