Jazz discussing #3 for #6, #18

Spurs looking to trade Tony Parker to the Raptors or Kings for their draft picks. If the Spurs pull a trade for the 5th Overall Pick. I think it's safe for the Jazz to trade down with the Wizards and get a future 1st round draft pick. Why? Spurs like George Hill and would not draft Kanter as they are trying to get a big/center to replace Duncan

Any chance of KOC bugging the Spurs war room to see who they would draft if they're interested in moving to #5? My guess is Valanciunas. San Antonio can afford to have him play in Europe one more year.

I think they want Valanciunas and hope he will drop past Cleveland at 4. They could add depth at shooting guard/small forward to replace Manu and Richard Jefferson but they seem set at PG with Hill.

I don't put a lot of stock in this rumor. And, I agree with those of you who have said this isn't enough value returning to the Jazz.
But, sure, if KOC is SURE that Knight is his guy and that he'll fall to #6, then this trade (with a chip or two added) makes obvious sense. But, I don't think KOC is just gonna trade down to see what happens; he'll get his guy.

I'm still confused about why the world hasn't been fed a line about our "love" for Kanter. That would make getting value out of the #3 in a trading down scenario much easier.

I have stated this numerous times. The Jazz can have this trade in place if they take Kanter and Knight falls to number 6, if not we just keep Kanter. Is that so hard to understand?

I agree. The onlyI would do this is if we were 100% taking Knight and could 100% get him at #6. I don't want Kemba.

I agree 100%. I see no pros for Kemba over Jimmer.

#6 - Bismack Biyombo(if ppl think this is a reach - recently i've heard him mentioned to go to Toronto as high as #5, but most realistic would be Detroit at #8)
#12 - Marshon Brooks(best SG in the draft? i think so)
#18 - Kenneth Faried( a millsap clone, he'd definitely be the best value this late)

We all talk about Knight being a reach at #3. But in this every one of these guys would be a reach were you have them IMO. Yeah Biyombo has been mentioned at 5, but he has also been mentioned at 20. Half of the mocks have him going out of the lottery. So that is definitely a reach IMO. Brooks? Late teens, early 20's is were he is projected so thats a reach again. Faried is close there to his value I think. But I would rather just keep Milsap who is better. So that is a reach because we already have a better version of the guy.
