I was more convinced after his speech that he really believes in the need for a border wall.
I'm not. I think the unintended consequences will be far worse than what we're dealing with now.
But his examples of atrocities committed by illegal immigrants, that's where he lost me. That was pure fear mongering and an emotional ploy. Had nothing, really, to do with the need for a border wall.
And then his drug stuff, the majority of drugs come through our legit border crossings, as per the rebuttal. And I don't care if you build a wall and police the crossings better, he said it himself, $500,000,000 worth of drugs comes across that border. Options are open as to how to get it here. That's a lot of money and a huge organization pushing that stuff here. They can figure out how to keep it flowing. They don't give a **** about a border wall.
And again, you make crossiong harder for the most basic immigrant you give the power to control the gate to organized human traffickers. You build a wall, you increase human trafficking. You make human traffickers richer. You get more women raped, more children killed. You don't solve a ****ing thing with a wall.
