What's new

Dante has been out forever because he ded

Great choice to keep him out until after the all-star break. Its only 6 more games and will give him plenty of time to be 100%. Injured ligaments take 6 weeks to fully recover. There is not reason not to let him be all the way healed before bringing him back. We dont need him right now and he still has a very high ceiling. Good thing we have him on a great team friendly contract.

This is Exums 3rd injury in 5 years in the NBA. They have been bad timing but outside of the ACL not that big of a deal. ACL injuries suck but are very common for athletes. Every player rolls their ankle. Some play through it if they are not major and the team needs them back.

Yep. I don't see many people complaining about Lonzo Ball being out for 4-6 weeks for his sprain. A bad sprain is a bad sprain. And you are spot on about his role - if he was essential to keeping us the playoff hunt, we would probably force him back sooner.

Ron Mexico told me these exact words in chat the other day "Exum is more durable than Rubio" LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Lets see, in just the last 2 years Rubio has had a sprained elbow, hip injury, Achilles injury, left hip injury, another hip injury, knee injury, hamstring injury, back injury, another knee injury, and another hamstring injury. Yes he has missed less time than Exum but he has had a **** ton of injuries. Not to mention that early in his career he had very similar injuries to Exum. He had the same ACL injury Exum did. He did miss less time but that we simply due to the timing of it, not because he was more durable.

I can't see how having a prolonged absence directly prior to trading a guy is a way to increase trade value... If we were planning on moving him I would think we might rush him back to say "look he's back... no injury concerns at all"

A sprained or sore ankle won't fail a physical.

Could be - I took it as they were referring to the risk re-injury if they brought him back and he wasn't 100%.

Knowing Dante this is a valid concern, lol.

All bball players under the age of 35 get a free ACL tear without any accusations of being injury prone. Look at the general medical stats. That injury has become super common.

If Dante isn’t injury prone, then he’s definitely poor AF at healing up quickly.

It doesn't matter if Rubio has had "more injuries." It's the fact that Rubio actually plays basketball

He did come back from the shoulder early/on-schedule... I think this is med staff more than Dante.

It is just so frustrating that he plays really well for 2-3 weeks then this happens. Now he's been out long enough it will take a few weeks to shake rust... Just no continuity for the poor guy.

If i was an acquiring team looking at Dante I'd consider him a significant injury risk. Not chandler parsons by any means... but it would factor into the evaluation.

I don't see him as a big trade asset... could be wrong but I'm guessing his value to DL >>>>> the rest of the NBA.

Didn’t he return from the shoulder early/on time ?

What is most frustrating about this all situation is that we still do not know what the **** Exum is. Is he a useless bust like he looked at the start of the season or is he last two week Exum which looked like decent backup PG? Kid just can't put together a decent string of games where you can accurately judge him.
