2019 Trade Deadline Discussion

Favs deal was supposed to be trade bait and a look to see if his shot had developed... it didn't develop and we didn't use the contract. Last offseason there were opportunities to make long term moves to improve the the team... we passed to keep Favs and Exum in house. Now the deadline moves with no real change... most FA targets are likely to be out of reach...
Should find my posts from this summer saying this was a desert mirage when everyone was so reassured by the possibilities. I'd PGAB TF out of the forum.

Here's the rest of the post trade deadline interview talking points template...

- Just want to start by saying how stressful of a time of year this is. We're talking about real people, with real families, whose lives are put on hold and want to acknowledge the stress they experience as their names are in headlines, and want to recognize them for the professional manner in which they handle themselves.

- Look, it's my job to improve the team and I've always gotta be looking at every scenario that accommodates that. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't, and sometimes we don't feel we're getting equal value in return. There are hard decisions, but overall we really like our guys. You look at what we did last year ... [drop some sentiments], you look at how far we've come this year [more sentiments] and the progress we've made and the terrific impact [talk about Rudy and Donovan].

- When we look at the advanced stats, we find [insert some really positive stat that shows how good this group is].

"Our major acquisition is getting a healthy Dante back. That's like a free-agent signing in itself"

I can't wait to read Tony Jones tweets before the draft and during free agency about how aggressive the Jazz front office is being, then we will end up re-signing Rubio, picking up Favors option and call it a summer.
