Ricky shoot around comments to media

At the end of the day, the Jazz FO will now have a pretty good assessment of Rubio and Favour's open value when it comes to renegotiating contracts if they don't show solid consistent improvement. If they decide to offer a new contract, all camps will most likely realise that if Jazz give an offer, it will be a relatively fair value.

That being said, the landscape can change when it comes to free agency time.

I don't see Rubio re-signing now. He knows the FO wanted to get rid of him, so accepting a discount would only increase his trading value, making even more probable that he is immediately traded. Why would he sacrifice money, then? Absolutely no reason.
Accepting a discount would increase his value to the jazz to keep him too though. Teams typically dont try to rid themselves of good players on cheap contracts. Teams try to keep players that play better than their contract imo.

Donovan has had some horrendous shooting nights, but saying he’s had more bad games than good games is ridiculous.
Also, though DM has many 9-23 type shooting nights I dont get worried by it. His form is beautiful, great ball rotation, and ideal amount of arch on his shots. Add in his youth and his confidence and im certain his shots will start to fall. So many of his misses are just barely off.

Unless the people upstairs want an upgrade at the PG position. Then Ricky could end up playing in a team he doesn't like for much less money.

His 9-22 yesterday doesn't look as bad when you consider he went 0-2 on shots to end the quarter that weren't really within the offense. Don't ke if he had others that were end of shot clock as well.

One more thing. Ricky has been in trade rumors for almost his whole career in the NBA and he doesn't like it. Maybe the Jazz would try to keep him, but I don't think that he is confortable knowing that he is an easily tradeable asset.

Yep, taking a discount could result in many different scenarios. I dont think it necessarily means that he is more likely to be traded though. In fact i think the opposite.

But you just said his whole career. So he should be used to it to some extent and maybe have the self awareness to realize that there is a reason for that and its not a jazz thing but instead more of a ricky thing. Also he should know going forward that no matter who he signs with this summer he could be traded. (this should be obvious)
He currently plays for a team that is kinda known for holding on to their own players (to their own detriment in a lot of peoples opinions) so if his goal is to not be traded then staying with the jazz seems like the thing to do.

That's true. Surely he is better staying here, but I don't think he will accept a discount, maybe a small one.
About being almost his whole career in trade rumors... it is because other teams like him so much! Seriously, I hope that he stays and improves his 3 point shooting, he just needs getting used to shoot in a different way. I also think that the post tradeline Ricky is going to be better.

Hi mate, I do not think Ricky accepts a discount. Not for money, but because he is a sentimental boy and this has hurt him. Anyway, maybe things have not happened as we said in the forum and there may be some light. And yes, the second part of the ricky season will be much better .. It has always been like that even if you do not ask me why ... It's like a diesel engine. regards

Really, at the beginning of entering this forum, I was worried about the things that I read without stopping to think that the majority should be children that no idea should have basketball.
I'm even reading that ricky must sign for less money to play in jazz ... and that after how management has treated it, hahaha let me laugh a little.
If you want, you can tell Ricky to sign for the money Dante charges or even less clear that if ... how much fool
Let's talk about Dante, yes, that guy with less IQ than a fly who does not even know how to bounce the ball and that after two half decent matches with tanking teams has become the new messiah for some of you.
We can also talk about another that says that Ricky can not play against high level pg .. "ask DR, SC, KW although they can ask RW and how Ricky has taken him out of the game more than once.
And finally we'll talk about another who says that Ricky will not have a market in summer.
So it comes to my head,: Chicago, Detroit, Phoenix, Minnesota and be careful not to get through San Antonio that Ricky would go there as a glove with Popovich.
But obviously, if they want a pg of 20 pts per game, that is not Ricky ... nor any of those that they have had in many years.
But you can ask Santa Claus for one. And remember, sometimes what comes next is much worse.
Greetings to all, I will continue reading them from time to time but I do not intend to spend more time writing in this forum.
Goodbye

Goodbye
I told you to chill down El Ijazz.

And one shot was actually a backboard pass to Gobert. Mitchell takes a ton of shots that have no chance of going in to pull the defenders and allow Gobert an easy put back.

A cheap contract makes him easier to trade. And he could be traded to any team in the league. Why would Ricky accept less than market value, make himself easier to trade, and give away all his agency regarding where he is playing? Use your head.

Why has Jae Crowder been traded so many times? He's a solid role player with a great contract, right?
