In order for them to not want to match a max he’d have to be, you know, maxed. Not exactly the path I’d want to pursue.
I’ve loved what I’ve seen of him when he plays us, though.

The only problem is it looks like Kyrie wants out of Boston, so Rozier might be in Boston’s plans.

Exactly. Why would Utah want to pay a ton for Rozier. He's a good player, but not worth whatever it would take to make Boston decide not to match. I do hope someone offers him a lot, though. Seeing Boston bleed would make me happy.

Ah ya. Thats a good point. Im not sure its a done deal though. The Knicks are still the Knicks. Not sure why he would be so anxious to get there other than he is a flat earther, so he cant be too smart. I bet that Haywad deal is a giant turn off.

What did you think of his performance last year with Kyrie out? He certainly put up some big numbers. Looked like an Allstar guard in the playoffs.

I like him in a low usage guard role assuming we have a bigger scoring threat at the 4.

Well if he isnt worth the max then thats probably good for our prospects of getting him for less than max right? He is better than Rubio right?
What about 75% of max? Whats the most youd be willing to go? Or you just dont want him?
He's small and his shooting is flakey.

I'm a Rozier guy but there is no way I give that guy more than $20 million much less the max.
Rozier works well if Rubio bails and we strike out on other targets. I think a 3 man PG/SG rotation of DM, Exum, and Rozier would have long term success. They combine to have the skills necessary to give any opponent fits over a 7 game series.
We have to pursue other priorities first, but I would put him on my list of targets.

Depends on the playoffs for me. If he plays this playoffs like he did last year, he is a $20 million player. If Gordon and Jabari can get $20+, Wall gets $40+, Chris Paul gets $40, etc, then he is worth it.
The cap goes up by almost $20 million between this year and next. The luxury by $20.
And think about this - Exum, Donovan and Neto combine to make less than $15 next season and Exum and Donovan less than $15 for 2020-21. It's okay to spend some money if the player might be worth it.
