DL responded to Rubio's comment on chemistry by saying that he's basically right, chemistry is important, and that's why they decided to stand pat. Then he added:

"But going forward, we have the draft and free agency coming up. And the more the team wins the better their chances of staying together. It's as simple as that".

Damn. That's pretty honest.

Yeah, that part was interesting. I hope he's mainly talking about winning in the playoffs because our schedule is pretty easy the rest of the way so we'll likely go on a nice run to end the season. The worst thing that could happen IMO is we finish the season really strong, win the first round, get whooped in the second round but because we won so many games to end the season the front office decides to run it back again and focus on continuity, chemistry and internal development. This teams ceiling is the second round and I hope DL and company won't be satisfied with that.
 
That was a really good interview. I definitely get the impression that he feels like we need more offensive talent, and that the guys we have now aren't really going to cut it.

I’m a huge fan of the DL/Snyder combo. My signature for ever was trust DL/Trust Snyder.

But bringing this exact time back next year is a significant loss.

Unfortunately we are finding that bringing this exact team back this season is a significant loss. Not sure how many significant loses we can sustain before Gobert goes to GS to get his ring.

Who knows maybe we'll get excited about being the team they develops these great players so they can move on to the Sr. NBA to be issued their ring. Like a rite of passage. We rooted for him when he was just a young guy, so proud of him and so proud to be a GS affiliate feeder team.

Agreed. DL must make a move this off season to significantly improve this team. Time to take a risk. Continuing to punt the ball is getting riskier and riskier. Soon it will start to affect Goberts desire to remain.

Rudy leaving is by far my biggest concern. We all know how competitive he is and how badly he wants to win. Do we honestly think Rudy's going to be happy being the 4/5 seed every year and maybe winning a round and advancing to the second round where we will ultimately get our ***es kicked? DL and company have two seasons left after this one to prove to Rudy that they're serious about trying to contend for a championship.

I just hope Rubio can stay healthy for this years playoffs.

Rudy leaving would be hilarious. The meltdown would be epic.

And we’d still have clowns on here the same day coming up with unrealistic plans to replace him and getting another stud alongside Mitchell.

As if any stud wants to come here.

Not gonna lie, I'm hoping for the Kings to beat the Warriors just for the shock factor on two fronts. One front is the obvious beating the Warriors all star lineup front but the other one is seeing Lakers fans have a mini meltdown because the all star Warriors gave the Kings another W and further puts their playoff hopes in jeopardy.
