Already the republican spin machine is making this political. 570 am radio right now with Rod Arquette is already spreading doubt over what the fan actually said and is now claiming that the “national media” is painting all jazz fans as racist.

However, the caller right now is giving him the business.

Rod is now blaming Westbrook, and just compared him to Rodman. He claims that he provokes a lot of reaction.

And now he just went to break.

Amazing. I would’ve never expected Utah’s conservative radio to discuss this issue. Let alone spin it into blaming Russell Westbrook and excusing that fan’s awful behavior.

Based on the stuff being dug up on the guy I think it is fair to think they are likely real. The Jazz say they have evidence that corroborates Westbrook's story. I believe them.

Dunno there's a pretty diverse population in Melbourne, continental european, asian but you still hear the odd racial slur. Last year someone threw a banana onto the field near an indigenous player. I've heard a couple of asian guys say some awfully racist things. I think it's a mix of factors. But there's certainly an element of sheltered white ppl that are responsible which will probably take a generation to change

I've been your arena. Sat in the inexpensive seats, similar to the upper deck in The Peake in OKC, we refer to as the peasant section . Among the most vocal, loud & enthusiastic fans you will find anywhere.

The upper deck fans are highly vocal--sometimes you have check your ticket to see if you're at an NBA basketball game vs. PBR circuit tour--real time country bare back ride with fans who scream to the delight of a cowboy enjoying his ride--gotta love it.

Keep the faith & enthusiasm; a few inappropriate actions by fans & players shouldn't spoil the family fun atmosphere for all.

The demographic that continues to support trump are non-college educated white males. This guy seems to fit that demographic perfectly.

It’s particularly disgraceful that he attacked Westbrook for verbally assaulting his wife at her first nba game. Maybe... just watch the game next time instead? How hard is it to cheer on your own team? Why are you egging on one of the league’s most volatile players if you’re trying to treat your wife to her first game? If I had courtside seats I’d never waste time talking smack to Westbrook. I’d be too busy enjoying the game and cheering on our guys.

Considering 'socialism' is kind of Bernie's calling card, yeah, it would be a little strange to support him and not be at least comfortable with it. Same goes for Trump, those things that he listed are some of his defining characteristics after all.

I don’t believe this is even true. Of the 100 or so Mormon I know closely.. they loathe Trump, personally.. but policy-wise prefer his over the next best option. I know very few Mormons that actually support the person.

It’s really bizarre considering how many returned missionaries there are. And how many Latino members there are. You’d think a church that focuses so much on building relationships with Latin America and on monogamous marriage would abhor trump.

Yet people excuse him because the American economic rally, which started over 10 years ago, continues(at least that's their excuse-cough-racists-cough). The same kind of people thought Germany was doing great under Hitler too. Eventually they watched as their neighbors were taken away to the slaughter.
