The INSANELY early 2012 DRAFT

Austin Rivers baby... that dude is a player... and if Boston does terrible and so do we, we might be able to pick up his dad as a coach.

In case anyone doesn't know, UK vs. UNC will be nationally televised in December (forget the day). The following players will go head-to-head in a game that neither team will want to lose (not all-star type);

Anthony Davis (UK)
Harrison Barnes (UNC)
Michael Gilchrist (UK)
James McAdoo (UNC)
Terrence Jones (UK)
John Henson (UNC)
Marquis Teague (UK)
Tyler Zeller (UNC)
Doron Lamb (UK)
Kendall Marshall (UNC)

EVERY NBA team will be in attendance. This is 10 first-rounders (Top 24), what is currently slated (nbadraft.net, sorry) as the #'s 1, 2, and 3 in the draft, 4 of the Top 8, half of the first 16 players selected, and I believe there are a couple of 2nd rounders not on the above list. That's a game right there.

^^^ To tell you how stacked these teams are, I intentionally didn't even include Kyle Wiltjer (UK) who's coming in this year as a 5 star McDonalds All-American (6'9 sharp shooter) who has most every recruiting analyst calling him a cross between Kevin McHale and Keith Van Horn. His nickname is The Waterfountain .. he got that at the Elite 24 games (MVP) because they said he can shoot it from the water fountain. I didn't include him only because I think he's a two-and-done rather than a 2012 draft entrant.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlsObiBSmfI

I we have a pick in the 10 - 12 range, we might have Terrence Jones as our SF. Here's some highlights from his freshman year. Guy plays with attitude and will come into the draft as a beastly 6'9" 250lbs small forward with ability to defend the PF spot.

I like Kendall Marshall quite a lot, but in the lottery? Hell no. I could see him creeping upwards of 16 - 17 .. but that will have more to do with running a STACKED team and everyone's stock being (potentially) a little over-inflated.

This. He's a guy you could usually get maybe late first round, except their team will do really well next year which will inflate his stock.

Lol at pimping Kendall Marshall. He's playing on one of the most athletic and stacked teams out there, he has a ton of help. Yes he is a very smart player, but he has the benefit of Harrison Barnes, John Henson (whom he can just throw it up to) and Zeller. It's like when people thought Greg Paulus was going to be a stud his freshman year because he had Shelden Williams, JJ Redick and Josh McRoberts. What makes Marshall any different than Marcus Williams from UCONN?

Favors, Kanter, Jefferson, Millsap. Wait a sec, I guess that's no difference.

Kendall Marshall is far better than Greg Paulus. I think we can all agree on that (for those that know who is Paulus is, anyway). I like Kendall, not down on him at all, I think he's a legit late first-round PG talent.

Curious which story you're referring to?

That is interesting. I heard that it was the other way around. Calipari told T. Jones that his draft stock would never be higher and he should enter the draft.
