What's new

Utah Jazz guard Dante Exum has suffered a partially torn patellar tendon in his right knee and is si

Not surprised. Xray is known to be as fragile as glass for a reason. I'm sure people are going to leap to his defense and shame others for their opinions. The truth is being paid 9m a year to effectively sit on the bench.

These injuries are not life threatening and after this contract is done, he will have still have more money in the bank than a lot of people will have earned over a few decades. No pity is necessary.

There's around 5 mil in incentives so it's not 33 mil guaranteed, but yeah this just further cements how hard DL whiffed on the offseason and trade deadline while the rest of the West got better.

At least there'll be some fireworks in the offseason.
What bothers me more is that Dante is getting paid more than Randle, who BTW just dropped 45 tonight. I don't blame DL for taking Dante over him in the draft 5 yrs ago, but after all these years, who else now would offer Dante more money than Randle???

Absolutely devastating and very sad. Nevertheless, those who expect him to be back, or to even have a successful NBA career, I think are in denial. It's obvious that Dante's body is not capable of withstanding the rigors of playing in the NBA. He's been out for how long, and I'm sure the trainers who worked with him weren't going to let him play until he was fully healed. And he's back three games, and he has another serious injury. How many times, how many years does this have to happen before we admit the reality of his situation? C'mon, read the tea leaves. This young man is not physically capable of playing in the NBA.

The Jazz were paying Dante purely based on potential. It was a high risk/high reward move for sure, I hope the kid is like Stephen Curry was early on, plagued with injuries then ends up becoming great.

Yeah, I'm really disappointed in DL's choice of crystal balls that he uses to see into the future so he can tell which players will have multiple injuries. He obviously went with the economy model, and now his future seeing is less than acceptable.

Derp

Derp.

Funny that you thought it was so hard to see this **** coming. Who the **** needed a crystal ball?

You just mad cause you were wrong. Now it time for deflection, insults, misdirection, etc..

Anyone with at least a quarter of a brain was against signing Exum. Dude sucks balls, and yes is injury prone. Thats what being injured all the time means guy.

Go derp yourself clown

Saw the duke/NC game. Saw plenty of players there that I’d prefer over Exum. Lots of potential. I really wish we could draft a young dynamic guard to team up with Mitchell. It just seems like we consistently get zero from our PG spot.
