Jazz Rank 20th In Destination For Free Agents

As a European, I never could understand the importance you keep on a frigging youth tournament.
I agree with you. But the "friggin youth tournament" does have one feature that is of value: the youth tournament showcases young talent. That talent is what the professional leagues will be drafting to their teams. As a fan of a professional team I want to see what is coming to my team and to the league.

By the way, the Olympics is essentially a youth tournament. You don't enjoy the Olympics?

I don't think that many really do, at least as far as the NBA is concerned, other than to look at individual performances. But many people are college fans first and foremost.

You are all being trolled

If teams were allowed to sign players for end of season runs like they do in baseball, I guarantee you the Jazz would take Melo in an instant. The guy won an NCAA championship and Olympic championship. Only a very small handful of human beings have done that. Even LeBron couldn't pull off that incredible feat.
You can do exactly that, you dunce.

Every single team had a chance at Melo.

The Olympics are a youth tournament for Basketball, football (soccer) and hockey. The rest is pretty damn elite and makes for very good watching.

I get the face that you get to see the best young talent in the NCAA. What I don`t get is the talk of winning NCAA titles when comparing players to each other.

ANY NBA player in his right mind who wants an excellent shot at winning a Championship would have to take a serious look at the Jazz as there next destination! The Jazz are LOADED with talent and basketball BRAINS, have a great system, a better than average coach, and are developing quickly a "killer" attitude toward the opposition with numerous 20 point blow outs that would be 30 point blowouts if they didn't fiddle fart around at the end of games! It's really a matter now of not should we sign this free agent but does he "qualify" to be added to our squad or would he ruin our chemistry or locker room atmosphere! Listen to me now....and believe me later, the Jazz are LOADED from the top of there heads to the bottom of there feet!

The Free agent were looking for has to be fundamentally sound without a hip hop bone in his body! (Of course, he will be allowed to dunk since we lead the league in dunks anyway!) He needs to be unselfish, a pass first shoot second type player who enjoys getting an assist as much as scoring a basket! He needs to have a calm demeanor and a tattoo-less body! (Just kidding on that last one!) He must believe in "boxing out" rather than just trying to jump over the guy! He must be a better than average shooter from 15 feet out to 23 feet, but must recognize that winning is more important than him shooting! He cannot be lazy on defense and if called upon be able to deny his man the ball for the full 24 seconds! Now, are there any such creatures out there to be had?

So you would have no interest in a guy who averages 24 a game. Got it. That's why the Jazz have never won a Championship.
Hey. if we're talking career averages, Jazz may as well bring back Stockton and Malone. Carmelo is nowhere near the all-offense, ******-defense player he once was. He wasn't the answer for OKC or Houston. Chicago didn't want him. And he begged for LA to sign him and LeBron said no. 'Melo is washed up.

Nah, you're wrong. In the west, any NBA player in his right mind who wants an excellent shot at winning a Championship would sign with Denver or the Clippers.

In the East the Knicks would be the top choice. Knicks are going to get one of the Big Three from Duke or Ja Morant or that 9 foot guy from UCF. Plus we have room for TWO max free agents. And we have a coach who is the most beloved guy on planet Earth.

Melo wasn't the answer for Houston. ..
Uhh, clearly you don't understand the relationship between Melo and Mike D'Antoni. Russell Westbrook and that Utah Jazz fan have a better relationship than Melo and D'Antoni.

If you don't know, Melo got D'Antoni fired here in NY. Melo literally told management, "Either him or me." Knicks rightly kept the 24 points per game, NCAA Champion, multiple Olympic gold medalist Melo.

You got to be kidding me! But your eyes will be open when the Jazz splatter the guts of both those teams in the upcoming playoffs!

Jazz are a decent team but they lack the elite player that 99 out of 100 championship winning teams have. Where is the Jazz Walt Clyde Frazier? Where is the Jazz Eli Manning? Where is the Jazz Derek Jeter? Where is the Jazz Mark Messier? We have those players in NY and that's why we win multiple championships in all sports.

Jazz don't have that. Sorry to be blunt, but it's the truth.
