Following Potential Draftees - 2019 (not kidding)

Izzo with eight final fours now.

Calipari with just five lmfao with all the recruits he’s gotten. And Izzo’s coached in 81 less games than him.

Coach K has been to 12 final fours in about 558 more games coached than Izzo.

A 7'2" guy with a stress fracture in his foot is always going to be a risk. Bol would be a top-7 or 8 prospect otherwise, but the medical red flag will drop him likely into the mid-late teens, imo.
Borchardt

Would anybody be interested in drafting Tyler Herro? I was big on him coming out of high school. I only saw maybe 4 games of Kentucky this year and he looked like he played 100% his role within the system. He had an up and down year and at least in the games I watched, looked really quiet, but good. He looked good in the tourney and had a gw.

That said, the kid has such a smooth jumper and has range. A jumpshot so sexy, Calipari visited him instead of Zion (wtf, right?) I've seen his name pop up on a few mock drafts in the 20 range.

No. We just drafted Allen.

Just watch a bunch of videos on Jalen Pickett the PG out of Siena. I like his size - 6'4", but looks kinda slow. His game (especially his jump shot) reminds me a lot of DWill except he has no crossover (that I saw anyway.) He has a lot better body than DWill but isn't as explosive, quick or strong.

Don't know much about him. Anyone have any insight on him?

pointless when the team has grayson. need an upgrade at PG and starting PF positions.

I don't mind Herro. He's better than Grayson. I think I would trade Grayson if I could find a good deal.

I would trade Grayson and our pick to move up for Nickeil Alexander Walker if he lasts to the 16 range.

he is absolutely not better than grayson; not now and not when grayson was 18-20 y/o

Grayson's freshman year doesn't hold a candle when compared to Herro's. Interesting to see how you could even debate Grayson was better then. Grayson is more athletic, but Herro is a better shooter.

It's pointless to see Herro on this year's roster, yes, but next years? Not so much because we don't know what the roster will be.

grayson didn't play as a freshman, but showed big game talent that year a few times late in the season heading into the tourney. i'm mostly referring to his sophomore year when he took off which was at a similar age as herro is now (of course i'm being unfair to herro who hasn't had a sophomore year yet but i can't see him having a similar 2nd year). at the same age, grayson is bigger + far more athletic/explosive. herro this season is a better FT shooter by % but on super low volume, but otherwise grayson was and is a better or at worst equal shooter. And again, it's pointless to take herro when grayson is already on the team developing unless the team plans to trade grayson. then sure draft herro and have him sit on the bench for the next 2-3 years.

I kinda just want Matisse Thybulle if we keep the pick and if he's available. I know he's not the offensive weapon that we need. I know he's older. But he has great 3 and D potential. And he could end up being All Defensive team caliber on D. His defensive production this past season is rare. 2.5 BPG and 4.0 SPG per 36, a defensive rating of 88.2, DBPM of 9.8.

For what it's worth, Grayson is not bigger than Herro. They have pretty identical heights and weights. They have different strengths and are completely different players. I'd imagine they Jazz wouldn't draft him if available unless they were sold on Herro being a great shooter like Klay Thompson.
