One other player that keen my interest is Darius Bazley. He could be worth a shot in the twenties.
What do you guys think about Brandon Clarke of Gonzaga? He seems quite decent as well. If he declares he might be in the 15-20 range.
I'd be fine with Ty Jerome in the 2nd round. How about Virginia's point guard? Solid heady player who might be there when the Jazz draft.
Ty Jerome might be nice second round flier. He and not Kyle Guy is the guard that impresses me most on Virginia's team.I'd be fine with Ty Jerome in the 2nd round.
I didn't want to like Culver early in the year either- something about his shooting stroke bothers me. And not a great run/jump athlete. But he is winning me over as well. Looks like he could be a top 5 pick, 7 at the worst. I don't like him that much, but I'm not sure i could find 7 guys i like over him.Ty Jerome might be nice second round flier. Also Culver is nice. The scoring ability is one thing... but he has some nice feel for the game and good vision and passing ability. I was trying not to like him, but he's winning me over. In fact, I think I like him more than any other wing right now(if we consider Zion a big). Yep... he very likely will be no. 3 on my board, when it's all said and done.
I don't like this draft and I don't think it's particularly deep. By the end of the lottery there are players that wouldn't have been in my top 30 in last year's draft.I didn't want to like Culver early in the year either- something about his shooting stroke bothers me. Overall, i think this is a good, deep draft, but a crap shoot after the top 3.
some other fun Mitch Robinson numbers:
* He is on pace to become the first rookie ever to average more than two blocks per game while also shooting over 60% from the floor.
* He's the first player in NBA history to block more than 20 three-point attempts in a single season
Coming into 2018-19, only six players in NBA history had posted a PER greater than 22.0 during their age-20 season:
LeBron James, Shaquille O'Neal, Anthony Davis, Andre Drumond, Chris Paul and Karl-Anthony Towns.
Mitchell Robinson's PER this season currently sits at 22.3
...last one
Per @bball_ref,
Over the last 40 years, only two rookies have posted a Box Plus/Minus (BPM) higher than Mitchell Robinson's current BPM of 6.2:
Michael Jordan (1984-85) and David Robinson (1989-90)
