I wouldn’t mind a series vs the Rockets in the first round. Win or lose, if it’s a good series, that tells us where we are at, it tells us we are close. If it’s another 4-5 game series and we are outmatched, this lights a fire under DL to make the team much better, and does the same for DMitch and Gobert.
 
So since our game last night, we will have had 4 chances in 4 games to match up with Portland. We're 0/2. If we go 0/4, the basketball gods hate us. But we already knew that.
 
What’s the deal with the jazz and the 5th spot for post season? I mean this goes all the way back to the tail end of the Stockton and Malone era. The good news is we are damn near unbeatable in the first round in the 4-5 matchup. With that said there was no chance Nuggets were going to win with that in mind. Lol

silver-lining: if we exit in the first round, it kinda forces DL's hand. Time to make this flexibility work.
