Listening to DJ & PK... (Re: Mitchell/Harden)

Surprised at how many jazz fans wouldn't trade Mitchell for Harden. I've been a jazz fan for 30 years... I'd trade Mitchell for Harden in an instant. Honestly the amount of whining and b!tching taking place by our fanbase about refs, harden, etc. is straight up embarrassing. The jazz sucked donkey kong dong and have nobody to blame but themselves.

You realize that James Harden is almost 30 right? If the Jazz were to trade Mitchell for Harden they would have the same problems, just with a player who is 7-8 years older. Donovan is putting up similar numbers per 36 to Harden at the same age (better in some ways, worse in others). No way I would trade Donovan for Harden.

We have Mitchell locked up for 5 more years minimum and at a really solid contract for 2 more years.

Plus, Mitchell brings a culture to our franchise and our city that Harden couldn't touch. I think Harden would win more games in the next 3 years but Mitchell will bring more in the next 5 for a lot less.

In short, I would rather have a championship with Mitchell than with Harden.

If Mitchell chooses to stay he will be bigger than John and Karl.

To some he already is.

If the FO traded him there would be a mutiny like you would never believe.

I do agree with you on the crying about Harden is sad from the fanbase.

I wouldnt trade him for Harden tho. I just like Mitchell and I like that we get to watch him develop.
I agree 100%.

I would rather not win a 2nd round series and have pride than win a couple more series but still no titles with Harden.

Harden is awesome, but Houston is great because they have a very complete roster. Tucker, Capella, and Gordon are really good players. Green, House, Rivers, Faried and others are really good values and solid players. Chris Paul is still very good.

Morey is a much better GM than DL. I'm not taking unnecessary shots at DL, just pointing out the truth.

They're ok players that looked good because they played with James Harden and Chris Paul. Trevor Ariza was considered one of the best role players in the league last year. After leaving Houston, his TS dropped from 56.7 to 53.4, and no one even talks about him anymore. Clint Capella is assisted on 80%+ of his shots, mostly lobs, also highly benefiting from the gravity and pinpoint passing of those two.

I honestly think you’re overvaluing Houston’s roster a touch. Houston is good because Harden is playing like an MVP. The roster is fine, but it’s not oozing with stars or huge talent. CP3 was just okay in game 1. There was one player dominating on the floor in game 1 and it’s was pretty obvious who.

As for the original poser. Anyone who would trade Donovan for basically anyone is absolutely crazy. I wouldn’t trade Donovan for anyone and the list of reasons is very long. Donovan is going to be incredible for one, is incredible, adds so much to the organization and city....I mean really anyone who mutters such garbage needs their fan badge taken away.

I love everything about Mitchell. His youthful exuberance mingled with his old soul, the fact he wants to be here, hell!! He wanted the jazz to draft him. He’s two years into the league and already allstar caliber. Three years from now, he’s going to be an absolute beast!

Morey didn't build it overnight. DM changed our team. DL needs time to find the right pieces to build around him and Rudy. We're still 2-3 years out from being legit contenders.

Right? Some people wanna just ignore the fact we are only 2 seasons in from losing the franchise player DL made the focal point and the team had 50 wins and can beat all except probably 3 teams in the league over a 7 game series. We just happened to draw one of those 3 teams in round 1.

If only it will be about scoring. Harden is one of the most annoying players to watch. Say what you want about other Jazz killers (Kobe, Jordan, Duncan) at least you had respect for their game and skills. Harden does not command any respect but a sudden to urge kick him in the balls anytime he tricks refs into giving him more free throws or fools them with his travelling double step backs.

We might be next season. Only 3 things need to happen.

1. Durant leaves the Warriors

2. DL lands that third piece

3. No more than one big name player joins LeBron on the Lakers.

I think 2 of those are very likely. #2 is what has me worried.

I don’t think we need that all important third piece. I think we just need to upgrade our support cast, which includes a scorer off the bench.

It would be nice if that ended up being Allen. Upgrading our support includes a pg that fits the offense better, someone who can shoot and doesn’t need the ball that much.
