Following Potential Draftees - 2019 (not kidding)

I'm still of the opinion that this is a weak draft class. Zion is a generational talent. There are probably going to be two or three other all stars/stars scattered throughout the class. But overall I think this will be looked back on as a weak class compared to others. Trading the pick might be the move.

I think there are several potential All Stars, including Zion, Ja, RJ, Garland, and maybe White, plus a few wildcards. There are good rotation players to be had up until the late 30s, imo. It's worth staying in, unless there's a trade offer that's obviously compelling.

this. playing the 'this draft is weak, time to punt the pick" idea is really a case of settling for less, it's just not a good idea, it's not the move, look at the 2013 draft thats what everyone said...

Go big or go home baby!!!!! Utah trades the pick it better be for a young player on a longterm deal, if its another 1 year rental like George hill thats ludicrous.

It's important to note that one of the reasons pundits will bash this class is those who are aware of the incoming classes to begin the 2020's seem to have more depth, especially with wing players, the top wing players of the next bunch of drafts are better than RJ Barrett, i can assure you of that...

Doubt we could pull it off but I’d love to trade down 8-10 spots, throw in a 2nd, get a guy we still really like (is there much of a difference between 15 and 35 really) and pick up a 2020 1st in doing so.

Here's a Top 25 list for me right now. I like some of these guys more than others, but if we come away with one of them I won't complain....

Zion Williamson
Ja Morant
RJ Barrett
Deandre Hunter
Jarrett Culver

Darius Garland
Cam Reddish
Sekou Doumbouya
Coby White
Jaxson Hayes

Brandon Clarke
Romeo Langford
Bol Bol
Rui Hachimura
Nassir Little

PJ Washington
Kevin Porter Jr.
Kezie Okpala
Nickeil Alexander-Walker
Keldon Johnson

Mfiondu Kabengele
Talen Horton-Tucker
Tyler Herro
Jordan Nwora
Louis King

A few guys like Bruno Fernando, Daniel Gafford, Cameron Johnson or Goga Bitadze could push some of the later guys down depending on how things shake out.

I can see Kabengele impressing during workouts and going prior to us, pushing a good player to our spot. I can see the same thing happening with PJ Washington.
