What's new

Williams get new agent, has made no firm promises about staying in New Jersey

So he can scream at Hayward?

So he can fire Ty Corbin?

So he can complain about not watching film or having practice done to his liking?

So he can threaten to leave after we make trades he doesn't like?

So he can pout on the court for not getting a call while his man goes coast to coast for a layup?

No thanks

This post makes no sense.

Ty Corbin isn't a proven NBA coach. I love how the Jazz sign a guy to a 3 year extension after losing 3 straight games. He could be a great coach or he could be an awful coach

Hayward is anything but a proven commodity. I mean he could be a great player or he could be the next CJ Miles possibly worse.

Except with D-Will, you get a PROVEN top 3 PG in the NBA. He's a leader and he wants to show his leadership on the court. If a rookie makes a critical mistake, why should he not say anything? He isn't a wuss and showing emotion builds character. Why do you think Jerry Sloan put players in the dog house for weeks at a time.

If Hayward screws up, you yell at him. That builds a championship team. You don't say "next time try better".

I think there is a different between when Dirk yells at Chandler and say something like "Hey c'mon man you can do better than that" in an emotional and supportive way.

And when DWill yells at a rookie angrily in frustration when Hayward's been on the court probably only about a dozen times.

He is a proven top PG in the NBA no doubt, but I just don't like his style of leadership. It's not based on support, it's based on frustration. And with all the new rookies on the team? I just don't think he will be a good mentor for them if all he wants is win games at all cost and doesn't care about their developments.

I agree,

Deron maybe a great great player, and i believe he is the best pg in the league including d rose and paul but its pretty obvious that he had lots of mistakes in utah. He spoiled the chemistry, he left lots of question marks about his character in peoples minds. I wouldnt take Deron back. There is no need for that. Our team needs to create a new leader among the young guys, not take him back again to discourage young players taking responsibility.

This is not the way to show what a great leader you are. He just gets frustrated and messed the team morale up. He started when we lost the series against San antonio supporting boozer's comment about AK. And this year he made the peak. He should first learn how to make emphaty with those other players around him before being a good leader. Because he is anythng but a good leader. I m pretty sure Hayward can be a much better leader even though he cant come close to his talent.

It is even nonsense to talk about Dwill anymore. Even if he will leave new jersey, it will be for either New york or Dallas not for Utah. I wish him the best and i will still support him but not if he comes to utah.

Dwill is a franchise player. He led our very flawed teams to good seeding in a tough Western Conference. True he never got to the finals, or ever really challenged the Lakers, but he was working with a Charmin front court and wings who couldn't shoot. If Dwill says,"I want to come back to Utah" there is no way the Jazz can say no.

If Dwill want to resign with Jazz great sign him and trade him again. But in reality there is not a chance in hell he considers Utah as a place to sign as a free agent even if we trade for Durant and Howard.

We'll never find out because there's no way Dwill is ever saying that, but based on the comments I've heard that Gail Miller made I would bet you're wrong when you say that the Jazz couldn't say no. There's no love lost there. End of story.
