What's new

You're the GM this offseason. What do you do?

Um. Jazz? Dennis? Quin? The time is now. Throw everything you have at whatever it takes to get a top tier star this offseason. The door has officially slammed wide open for next year.

KD likely gone from the West, but out regardless.
Klay probably re-ups now and is out most of next year now.

Who's left that isn't beatable?

This! The window is wide open. No more kicking the can down the road. Time to go all in, whatever it takes!

It’s kind of insane that they lost two of their top 3 guys in consecutive games in the championship series AND they’re both heading into free agency.

The dynasty is done …..but Philadelphia and Milwaukee could also have beaten Golden State and none of them are smallball dominant lineups. It's crazy to try to make yourself a GS wannabe when there's only one Golden State.
Who thinks if Toronto resigns Kawhi and Gasol that any smallball offenses are going to beat a tall athletic Toronto if the greatest smallball offense just got thumped in the finals by a taller more athletic team . A lot of teams "wasted" big money trying to be a new GS.

To be fair though. . . that small ball team was without Durant for all but 12 minutes of the finals, and the Klay Thompson injury was certainly a turning point tonight.

I agree that you can’t beat the Warriors (or the Rockets) at their own game. You have to build the best team YOU can put together. Focus on getting the best 8 players that you can. . . that (and a little luck) make you a real contender.

One season when Lebron doesn’t make the finals this happens lol poor lebron

The Warriors dynasty might be over, but we lost 4-1 to the Rockets while Rubio and Favors had a great series. The Rockets will find a way to improve even if just marginally.

We don't need some knee-jerk reaction move like we think the door is wide open. We still have to be calculated through the draft, trades and whoever we can lure in free agency.

Also the jazz shot as poorly as possible in that series. Way below their averages.
