Conley Officially a Jazzman

No
You said the front office likes them. Which is stating the obvious.

I was asking if we (the posters on this site) want Exum and favors.

Seems like a vast majority (like 90%) would have loved to get rid of Exum for about anything or anyone over the last few months.

Favors was more even but many many posters have stated that he doesn't fit and should be gone. You should know this since I have seen you argue the other side with many people

We has many meanings. You didn't specify. Often fans use we as in the team. You could have meant anything by that.

Regardless I answered what you wanted in the next response. So problem solved.

Most importantly, Utah announcing this trade 2 and a half weeks before it can become official leads me believe they plan on making additional deals up through free agency - much like NJ trading Crabbe and AD to LAL.

I wouldn't be surprised if Exum and Favors are gone next in an effort to position themselves into FA pickup.

Exum's trade value is at an all-time low. There's really no reason not to see if he can contribute next year.

Absolutely. If he plays to anything resembling what he played last year he is opting out of that 35M because someone in the league will give him 3/90 or something of the sort and it's absolutely worth it for him to get that final big payday(look at Horford as reference, same age, similar contract... opted out and will get paid... Conley will get paid too if he plays well this season). Keep in mind next year's FA class is horrible and Conley very likely will be the 2nd or 3d best FA. It's AD, Draymond and then the best FAs are Drummond, Derozan, Gallo... Lowry... Otto Porter...

It should be kept in mind that, if he got Utah over the hump, the Jazz will pay the man. Conley won't be expected to do much other than D-up, run the offense, be healthy, and shoot. Assuming Mitchell continues trajectory, we're golden for a while.

Which top teams in NBA last season had a 4 and a 5 who can't shoot?
Following trends doesn't concern me. Winning does.

Gobert spaces the floor more than anyone on our team.

We generated the most wide open looks last year of any team even in the playoffs.

Another good thing about this deal.... I can now refer to Grayson by his proper nickname without guilt... Cobra Kai never die!

The real question is - if we were willing to give up 2 1sts now, why the hell didn't we do it at the trade deadline? This is such BS. We wasted Conley's best playoff run and half of his value just to give up even more value for him now. WTF DL?

My guess is Memphis wasn't willing to pull the trigger at that time.

They're giving up an all-star caliber PG for very little, so it makes sense that they would have assumed at the time that they could get more for him.

They aren't letting Favors go.

He's, ya know, pretty damn good.
It's weird that I never hear about other teams desire for favors.
I feel like we have dangled him every deadline for years and yet never hear about any takers for him.

He is our little secret
