Conley Officially a Jazzman

If conley can stay healthy this is a huge power move.

Big question for me: can conley be healthy? Can everyone stay healthy?

Jazz looking good.

Conley is the ultimate snyder wet dream. This is his guy through and through.

My guess is Memphis wasn't willing to pull the trigger at that time.

They're giving up an all-star caliber PG for very little, so it makes sense that they would have assumed at the time that they could get more for him.

Agreed. Add to it that Memphis' demands were being called unreasonable by other teams, including Indiana. I suspect it's part of the reason their GM was fired.

Most importantly, Utah announcing this trade 2 and a half weeks before it can become official leads me believe they plan on making additional deals up through free agency - much like NJ trading Crabbe and AD to LAL.

I wouldn't be surprised if Exum and Favors are gone next in an effort to position themselves into FA pickup.
I think Exum would be gone in the Conley deal if we wanted to get rid of him. He was the hold up last year. But maybe we use him and/or favors as part of another big trade.

How did that work against Houston in playoffs?

Our spacing? Great. Our ability to hit open shots? Terrible. But that had nothing to do with Favors and Gobert playing together. That was cold shooting. We need our players to hit wide open shots. Ingles, Rubio, Mitchell, Crowder all sucked at that. Hopefully we get a couple more good shooters and Mitchell and Ingles shoot better next year in the playoffs.
