Tobias Harris wants to come to utah

This neutered offense we have been strolling out for ~5 years now with an offensive genius coach is getting all so tiresome.

We are one of the top teams in the league at getting open looks. Get guys who can actually hit shots. That parts not the rocket science.

Jazz offense has been average when our PG sucks at shooting the last two years. The year we had Hill our offense was pretty good when healthy. I expect us to have a good offense again with Conley.

If Gobert gets hurt, we’re ****ed whether we have Favors or not. As I’ve said, we should be looking to raise our ceiling, not focus on raising our floor.

I don’t agree. Favs isn’t as good as Gobert on defense. But much better on offense. With Favs I think we still are better than most other teams on defense.

Our record without gobert disagrees with you.

We would be ****ed

Lol at minutes hell.
30 per game
30 per game
32 per game

That's called starter minutes

Yes, exactly. Favors’ body can’t handle starters minutes for 82. It’s been proven.

The hell isn’t the number of minutes. It’s the wear-n-tear ligament injuries he consistently sustained playing those type of per-game totals.

Such crazy talk in here.

Favors minutes were reduced to keep him healthy throughout the year. Because he played basically three years in a row were too many minutes meant that he would be injured by the end of the year.

So, Gobert or no Gobert, Favors is on a permanent minutes restriction for the rest of his career. This is a big part of why he wants to stay in Utah. His body is being managed appropriately here.
Why the **** is this a reason to devote eight figures to him?

Lineup data suggest that we were better with Joe Johnson and Gobert on the floor together when Johnson was here than Gobert and Favors. Johnson wasn't any good on D but our defense was still fine when he was on the floor and our offense was much better. And Tobias is much better than Johnson was at that stage of his career.
This is not that complicated. Furthermore, the best offense beats the best defense every time, and at a certain point we need to be able to keep up with teams that don’t care about Gobert because they do so well spacing the floor and are perfectly comfortable bombing away all game.

Literally impossible to know though

No offense, but I don't agree.

Harris is a good player, one I want, but he's not on the same level as Conley. Conley legitimately doesn't have a weakness. He's above average in every facet of the game for a PG. It's a position that we desperately needed an upgrade at, especially in regards of shooting. Plus it allows Mitchell to take his time developing as a lead guard. Come playoff time having a PG who can run an offense in any situation is way more important than Harris without a PG on Conley's level.

Crowder and gobert played with Rubio too doe.
Also it's quite telling that favors played 23 minutes per game. Quin an idiot apparently.

Also telling that freaking grandpa Joe Johnson was better next to gobert than favors.

The part about favors being better than gobert doesn't really matter cause gobert is our center.

Favors couldn't play with Gobert and Rubio bc 3/5 of our lineup couldn't shoot. Conley changes that, by a lot.

Obviously Harris fits better. I hope we can get him. I think it's pretty unrealistic, but it would be great if we could.

But anyways, Conley positively impacts everybody on the court. As much as I like Harris, he doesn't have the same impact, especially on defense.

He’s from NY... it isn’t just us vs. Philly it’s Brooklyn (maybe) at full max... Indiana at full max, Dallas at full max or Utah and 20M less...

If he isn’t into the status of being a max free agent then the money may not matter as much but in general dudes don’t take pay cuts... even small ones.
Except in Golden State to win rings, or Stockton to sign Malone. Or Gobert.
