“If the Warriors can add Cousins while still keeping Curry, Thompson, Iggy, Durant and Green. . . it’s all over. They’re unstoppable. Shouldn’t even try to compete. Nobody can beat them.”The lakers are the most serious threat in the west without signing kawhi, but if they sign him it is over for the entire league. Our window will slam shut and we will be in the horrible position of hoping they aren't 100% healthy when we play them in the postseason. Would really ****ing suck that just when the Warriors dynasty finally seems to be ending for the lakers to stack the deck with arguably the three best players in the league all on the same team. I am getting depressed just thinking about it.
In all of my complaining about the Favors situation, I really hope it’s not lost on people that I know he’s a great dude and very good player. For that reason, it has been and continues to be ******** that we are stringing him along through all of this. Let him go get his payday, let’s shake hands, and go on our ****ing way.
It is smart that the Jazz aren't renouncing him yet. The Jazz have done everything possible thus far to handle the situation the right way. They've allowed his agent to contact other teams before free agency so that they aren't trying to figure everything out last minute. And they are trying to get something done ASAP.
Writers have to bee freaking out right now.
Narrative - Free agents don’t value Utah as a landing spot. Draft and develop are the only options.
This year? “Why the **** are all these free agents mentioning Utah as a possible landing spot?”
Possibly if they do a sign and trade with Rubio as part of a 3 team trade re negotiating the Conley deal. But that feels unlikely to me.Is there a path forward to sign Bojan and also retain Favs?

Jazzfanz - this time last year.
Quit being whiny children and go compete. The Jazz are a top 4 team in the west AND they’re in the process of getting better this offseason.
Lakers don’t scare me - LeBron, Kawhi and AD are all injury prone lately. Talented, but there’s no sure thing that any of them are healthy at the end of the year.

Probably not. Word is the Jazz are going to offer in the neighborhood of $20M/year.
