Well, I saw on twitter that the Jazz would sign a starting PF for the 4.7 with Ingles becoming our 6th man. Then finish games with Gobert/BoJingles/Mitchell and Conley.

Not out of the realm of possibility that they could start him at the 4. In the end, it’s about minutes vs. who kicks off the first quarter.

Ed Davis is a backup 5 who rebounds, does the dirty work and can finish on rolls and drop offs. He might be able to guard some switches, but he's not super quick.

I'm not surprised the Jazz signed him, but am a bit surprised they tried to lock him up on the first day of free agency.
