Mike Conley trade seems to have lit the fuse in the Jazz’s ability to get free agents
now they got depth
Seriously how did they get him for only 2.5.
Bojan is a lights out shooter and aggressive defender just like Joe Ingles. Jeff Green is a cool head, will make open 3s, can finish in transition, and can switch to guard multiple positions on defense.
Mike Conley is a lights out shooter and clutch. Donovan Mitchell is a fierce competitor and all-around player. Rudy Gobert is the back to back DPOY.
Probably the best offseason in jazz history i'd say - like, what other big free agents / trades has utah been involved in? the hornacek trade? carlos boozer coming in FA? either of those in a vacuum might compare to the Conley trade, but Conley + Bojan + two great roleplayers adding supreme depth? This is a step above anything the Jazz have been a part of during the offseason.
I can't help but think, given how similar Bojan is as a player to pre-injury Hayward, and the very late team option on Derrick Favors' deal that this may have been Snyder's plan all along to put together a team like this because the fit just makes a ton of sense and a lot of things had to go right in order to make this happen that I'm not willing to really chalk up to luck.
This is the first instance I've seen where people actively WANT to play for the Jazz
