What's new

We signed Emmanuel Mudiay

A point always missed by exum’s fanboys. Whatever positives he brings on defense are quickly outweighed by his atrocious offense. He’s good for essentially 3 turnovers a game. One, where he just loses control of the ball in traffic. another for one of his out of control drives where he runs 100 mph and puts a dent in the backboard by chucking the ball at it. And finally another by being left wide open to a corner 3 and stepping out of bounds.

Exum’s stepping out of bounds on shooting a corner 3 was as predictable as a Grayson travel, crowder hard foul, jingles trolling job on another player, and Boler screwing up a skip pass call.

And somehow he got paid...lol

This signing caught me by surprise. I went back and watched his game vs the jazz and put together some highlights. There is something to work with here, needs to improve his shot selection - for instance he had Favors guarding him on a switch and instead of driving he forced a contested 3, thats not going to fly with Quin.

not really a big fan, but good for a 3rd string pg, that can be even more to 4th, 5th considering mitchell and ingles sliding there, signing for the minimum, you couldn't expect anything really big. and yet we got someone that at least has some upside, nice tools, can offer some insurance, etc... like the move

Exum really needs to go

I like Mudiay and Justin wright foreman smith or whatever his name is better.

Surprised ya’ll don’t have Woj and Shams on instant phone alerts during free agency season so that’s how I get them immediately and my phone just happened to be in my hands right then and there
Don't ruin the mystery.

Is a 1 year signing really a “project”?

If so, you’re doing it wrong.

I like the signing, love the combined changes, and will miss our outgoing players while welcoming the new guys with open arms and hope.

Thanks Jazz FO

well, he may at least start the year as a 3rd string pg on a deep roster, so from the start i don't see this big leash for him to make some big money already on next summer.

if he excells a lot and be able to fill the backup, we could be interested on move on from exum and give him our full mle next season, not ?

would we have the bae exception too if we think he's doing good as the 3rd string project (that part i'm really asking cause the bae i don't understand how it really works) ?

Guys, I’m about 1 second away from squealing like my 6 year old daughter at every new Disney princess movie that comes out.

The Jazz, the ****ing Jazz, are attracting ring chasers (Green) and people wanting development and another chance (Mudiay). At. The. Same. Time.

Stoked its been along time coming. It's fun to be in this position!

We are in position for a fun year. I hope the players can stay healthy, and rise to the occasion!

Mudiay???

Folks, we had Mudiay for two seasons. I'm no psychologist, but that guy definitely suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder --- split personality. One night he will be Russell Westbrook...then next night he's a guy who looks like he never ever played basketball. (Unfortunately most nights for us he looked like a person who never ever played basketball.)

Clueless Mudiay looking for home plate:

kind of like Melo the last few years of his career then?

Seems like when he has a big game he gets hot from midrange. He likes getting in the paint and taking that 8-12 foot fadeaway. His shot kinda reminds me of Eric Paschall's; they both elevate really high and because of that it looks a bit hitchy and like they're shooting on the way down.

Count 15 players in and out combined!! That’s a big and busy offseason.
Only the biggest subtraction...Rubio!

I don't ever remember a year when the Jazz replaced over 50% of their roster. Maybe in the early years after moving from New Orleans? And that's not even counting 2-ways; neither Cavanaugh nor Naz will be back.
