Just thinking how deep the West is and how seeding could come down to being able to withstand injuries.

So, at which position do we feel least comfortable? If Conley goes down, do we want to have to depend on Mudiay or Exum or Mitchell starting at the 1? If Gobert goes down, I like Davis a lot but do we feel good about him playing 30 minutes a night AND Bradley playing 18?

Vote and provide your answer and rationale.

I voted the 5. If Gobert goes down, I’d be concerned about Davis and Bradley playing 48 minutes there.

I sort of feel like we need one more 5 or a legit 4/5 combo who can shoot. Not sure if Kaminsky, as mediocre as he is, is available.

PF by a good margin.

I think the 1, 4 and 5 are the spots and by a large margin. Knowing that, a legit 4/5 combo makes a lot of sense. I just don’t want us hurt badly for 15-20 games if someone goes down. I want the 2 seed (or 1), not the 5 seed.

The 5 is locked down. I don't want ANY new resources dedicated at the 5 position. 1 is questionable backup-wise but we might be staggering Conley and Mitchell a bit so...

The good news is I had to pause to answer the question. I went with PF - If Bojan/Green gets hurt we need a legit banger with some NBA experience to replace Favors' PF defense off the bench.

But it’s about depth. If we got a guy almost equal to Green in ability (in case Green goes down), who can also play the 5, in case Gobert goes down, I think it’s prudent to get him. I wouldn’t necessarily want a pure 4.

Ed Davis is our backup 5. We have good depth at the 5. Not many teams have Gobert-Davis-Bradley/Reed type of depth at the 5. I'd much rather have 3/4 than 4/5...

Sigh. I know he’s our backup 5. I’m just worried about one guy going down and how our depth looks then. I guess, really, I just hate Bradley and don’t trust him to play 18 a night.

Exum can play the 5. Once he rises from the ded he can do everything. Remember? He played awesome defense against Harden that one time.
