At which position do we feel least comfortable?

At which position do we feel least comfortable and need to add another vet?

If Rudy goes down we are screwed regardless. We need to be making moves that raises our ceiling or helps us maintain ceiling. Regardless of who fills in at the 5, we’re taking a huge hit without Rudy. Unless the scenario is game 7 of the finals and you just need to squeeze one out.

Well being that when healthy I'm concerned about the 4 I'm going to go with that

I would’ve loved Marcus Morris. But apparently a few jazz fans thought he had attitude problems so the Spurs, the Raiders of the NBA, known for their erratic FO that loves troublesome players, already took him...

But I agree with Wes. Our focus should be on finding a 4/5 guy. Who’s still available other than Frank Kaminsky?
So fans are the decision makers now?

I’ve been contemplating Jabari more heavily recently.
We don't want him more heavy. He already heavy enough

But ya I wouldn't mind picking him up. I'm thinking he gets more than the minimum though

Other than jump high, what does Booker do well? Why are we talking about him? Might as well offer jeremy Evans the Max.
Who is talking about getting Booker? I saw one poster make a hypothetical about a mix of Booker and Trey lyles but that's it

Thanks for making my point.

Why couldn’t we have traded useless Exum to free up the necessary money to acquire a useful player like Morris? And if we actually tried everyone and couldn’t get any bites, what does that say about Exum and the idiotic contract we signed him to?
So your point was nothing? Just more bitching and whining about something that is 2 years old? How ****ing butt hurt are you over that? Maybe it means they like him. He's been injured so I get why other teams aren't interested now.

There are some crazy replies in this thread. Wow.

The literal only spot we should feel the least comfortable with is PF.

Even then whoever starts there I will feel confident with. I’m assuming it will be Jeff Green and is not it could be Bojan with Ingles at SF.

We only have the vet minimum left so we couldn’t have afforded Marcus Morris. I even saw someone say they wish we didn’t sign Bogdanovic and gave some money to multiple players? 10m to Marcus Morris and 8m to who else? That would be horrible. With the Bogdanovic signing it allows us to have flexibility with Ingles for him to come off the bench in a Ginobili role.

Agree with a lot of this. PF or big power wing is the spot where we could improve... but I’m not nearly as concerned as others.

Jeff Green is solid there... he’s fine... then you have Royce and Bojan that will log minutes there. For the minimum there is nothing out there I really like... we can roll with what we have at that spot and keep our eye on the trade market for an improvement.

A sf/PF rotation of ingles, Bojan, Royce Green, Niang is enough for now... if something better comes along then add to the group. I’d like a solid pg or sg because I don’t trust Exum/Mudiay but Ingles is the de facto pg of the bench unit and DM can play there too.

As the last bit is directed at me my ideal hope would've been one of Hill/Lamb/Satoransky as the #3 guard with one of Aminu/Young/Morris at the PF. All signed for around half of what Bojan did.

I don’t think that makes us better than what we did at all. I think the difference between Green and the guys you mentioned is extremely small.

So essentially we’d be getting a good third guard and not upgrading our SF position and bench by having Ingles moved there.

I mean, we still could've signed Green. It's straight up Bojan vs 2 of the guys mentioned (now it's completely possible those guys didn't want to come and Bojan isn't a bad signing at all, but the route I mentioned is the one I would've preferred).

Pick and roll big that can shoot, dribble, pass, and roll. All the contenders have one. leBron, Draymond, Siakam. I also think we need more big wing defensive depth. Sizing down and forcing Rudy into space puts us in a bind. One more live body that can guard wings and bigs would be good.

I’m not as scared of the Lakers. Their best player is a big. We can keep Rudy out there. But the Clippers freak me out man. If they go 5 out, their best players are still on the court but the jazz would have to bench their best player. S P O O K Y
