* NEW * 2019 Annual JazzFanz All-Time NBA Draft

I still have no idea what I'm doing. So I just pick players I like? Where the hell do I post these players?
It’s a snake draft.
There’s 16 GM’s.
These are the guys that have been picked already.

Round 2:

17. Elan_Prodigy
18. firegirl

You can pick any NBA player from history that hasn’t been picked yet.

The idea is to put together the best team of 10 available players as you can.

After you pick, @elan_prodigy gets to pick two players and then you’re back up again.

Draft order and the list of players selected are in the OP.

Hope this helps.

If no one wants to enforce the 12hr rule, what do you expect...
Best mock draft I’ve ever participated in is an NFL draft that has 3 key rules.

1.) You have to give him a number he can text you at if you want to play. That way he can let you know when your turn comes up. I have the numbers of a couple of guys and I can tell you that it helps to shoot out a text letting them know they’re on the clock.

2.) Time limits are strictly enforced. If you miss your allotted pick time, he makes the selection for you based on a value board that he has. The board itself is accessible to anyone and he doesn’t pick based on need or position. Just highest rated player, period.

3.) If you miss two picks, you’re bumped for the rest of the draft and it’s hard to get back in during future drafts. Reliability is a key trait that he looks for.

I know this is a little more challenging here because of how international our GM list is, but I don’t think it’s unreasonable to check in every 12 hours and just make a pick when your turn is up. If you’re looking to make a trade, most of the negotiations can be made before you ever get on the clock. It’s kind of stupid to show up, not pick and then waste your whole time allotment. Just make a pick.

It just comes down to choosing responsible people as participants at the beginning.

This too. Although, the rule about getting locked out if you miss your picks makes it easier to say no if they try to come back the next year. After awhile, you end up with a reliable group of GMs year to year by default. I can tell you before this ever starts 10 solid who will sign up and be motivated to make their picks in a timely manner, because we all consistently do it.

@firegirl

Yeah, refer to this post or the first post in the thread. Like he said, you’re trying to create the best 10 man team. Once we have all drafted, we will “play” one another in a 16 team bracket, with one eventual champion to see who has the best team...decided upon by Jazzfanz users who vote in the matchups.

So, uh, go. And then be on standby because once you pick, @elan_prodigy will pick twice and then you’ll select again.
