By now most of you have probably heard about Donald’s tweetstorm from this morning. It was full of gaslighting, unhinged rants, and overt racism. The three tweets below are generating the most controversy but really, his entire morning was completely unhinged.

So my questions are:

1. What’s this doing to our liberal democracy? What are the long-term effects of having a president who’s just so blatantly racist and divisive? How does a nation heal from having a president so blatantly pushing on wounded nerves?

2. How can common decency win out? His own tweet is full of lies, most of these women were born in America and the one who wasn’t moved here when she was 10. Yet, a certain percentage of the population won’t ever realize this. What can be done to promote understanding of truth?

3. To my knowledge, not a single Republican representative or senator has condemned these words. What’s it going to take?

What do y’all make from all of this?

Btw: other unhinged tweets today from Trump:

Crickets from Utah’s entire relegation including Democrat Ben McAdams. Nothing from Romney or Lee. Where’s all the decency gone?

Agreed. Those comments were some of the most telling yet. If you're "brown" you're not really American, you're essentially from somewhere else, some ****-hole, even if you were actually born in the U.S. and lived in the U.S. your entire life.

Someone tell me again that Trump doesn't express explicitly racist thoughts routinely.

Racists love trump for a reason. Central Park 5 and birtherism were of course dead giveaways. Yet 45% are either racist or are willing to vote for a racist.

Trump may well be a racist. More troubling, however, is the fact that playing to racial animus is so successful. The Southern strategy has been the Republican Party’s pathway to the presidency since Nixon. Trump is just its most blatant practitioner. Demographics has narrowed the pathway and will eventually close the door, though probably not until 2024 or 2028, so plenty of time for Trump to be reelected.

"Trump's tweet seemingly telling her"... "seemingly"??? It is pretty common knowledge where each of the squad members come from. Ilhan Omar is who TRUMP is referring to here. Thumbs up 266 Thumbs down 111
I thought the President was referring to cortez's district. Thumbs up 668 Thumbs down 114
The Squad ?? This folks is the New Democratic Party .. The “Squad”has plans for the Good old USA .
Thumbs up 344 Thumbs down 114
Hey genius, then maybe he was talking about representative Omar with that particular sentence? Ya think maybe?
Thumbs up 29 Thumbs down 7
Multiple articles taking Trump's word out of context.
Thumbs up 301 Thumbs down 172
Well you get the drift of how the public responded.

Thriller is right again!
Patriots vs. American Haters
Why do you think TRUMP was elected AOC? Because under Democrat Naz! Party leadership, that is what it has become. Just look at "sanctuary cities", counties and states and open borders, drug pusher stores, etc, etc, etc.
Thumbs up 83 Thumbs down 32

AOC fix your district first. Fact check- the former ICE Director had to tell you about the rule of the law at the border. Your the lawmaker! Your squad can change it! Instead of withholding aid AND going down there and saying they have no drinking water. Did you and your colleagues go buy 20 cases of water at around $50 to take back and donate? NO You were seen at a nice restaurant after. Yea So devastated! Fact check
Thumbs up 207 Thumbs down 56
It would seem Thriller that AOC is not highly thought of.

We are witnessing a raging Socialist movement in America today. Just for starters...I'm sure I don't have to tell you...Three U.S. Senators have proposed a new plan to guarantee every American a government job. America's new political star, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is pushing for free medical care, free college, and 70% tax rates. And a recent Gallup poll says more Democrats now have a "positive view" of Socialism (57%) than Capitalism (47%). But what no one's really talking about in the mainstream press is WHY this is happening... and WHERE it's all headed. Well, one wealthy businessman says there's a secret reason behind this trend... and it's all leading to a political event unlike anything we've seen in our country in more than 50 years. If you care about your health... your wealth... your family... and your future... it's critical for you to understand what's really happening and what is most likely coming next.
There is a dividing in America today Thriller - Gallup poll says more Democrats now have a "positive view" of Socialism (57%) than Capitalism (47%). Republicans are against socialism by a large margin. Want to live in Cuba or Valenzuela vote democrat.

It has been very successful among some of my family members who feel freer to express prejudices that I had suspected were there but were better hidden. Not only am I appalled by so many in my country, but so many in my family. I don't know how to deal with it, quite honestly.
