The official "let's reelect Trump" thread

Yeah I got you. I would argue Trump's defense of Putin's involvement in our past election and throwing our intelligence services under the bus qualifies.
Ahhh Zombie do a little research bud. Obama was in charge at the time Russia tried to interfere with our election, and he chose not to do anything about it. Don't you democrats read?

Ok, someone explain how Trump being an ******* to the press is “attacking the freedom of the press”?

As far as I know he hasn’t tried to close or outlaw any. Hasn’t introduced anti press legislation.

Most he’s done is few WH press briefings, momentarily banned that guy from CNN and been a complete *** to them.

What am I missing?
I would argue having a president constantly calling the press the enemy of the people and his creation of an alternate worldview where facts don't matter is antithetical to the idea of a free press. But I agree he hasn't enacted any policy to that effect.

I think he is anti ethical to the truth period lol

Very odd statement for you to make, considering I have watched a grand total of 0 minutes of MSNBC and maybe 15 minutes of CNN this entire year.

Again I was just trying to be silly with the reply and lighten it up a bit. I understand your position just fine.

He has explained on many occasions that when he says fake news media he is very specifically addressing a few networks who have been shown to blatantly distort the truth.

I’ve actually seen some statements in this. Not a lot but some. I got the impression that he basically applies it to any sites he gets negative press on.

More than likely. Most presidents have disdain for opposition leaning news networks.

There’s disdain and there’s open ridicule and verbal attacks. I don’t see him as threat is freedom of the press but his attitude on this point is shameful and does nothing but damage.

Truth hurts sometimes, sorry about that. Doesn't change the fact that he did in fact on many occasions explain who he was referring to.

I have seen him get mad at fox news before. Basically if anyone says anything bad about him then thay are the enemy of the people (until they say something good about him again) and are fake news.

Exactly. Evrything that is negative towards him is lies and fake news and an enemy of america. I think this is a bad thing.

I think it would be bad if he tried to block media engagement at all or if media outlets like MSNBC, CNN and Fox News were unbiased in their reporting. But just criticizing them for unfair reporting seems to be par for the course for all presidents.

Nah, not all presidents condemn the media Everytime they say anything negative about them. Trump is the thin skin Twitter king.

Not all presidents call the media the enemy of the people.

Not all presidents use the term "fake news"

Unless you have some links showing otherwise

I will wait.
